New Container Series from Siloanlagen Achberg
Achberg is expanding its product portfolio with a new roller-container series featuring enhanced functionality, specifically designed to meet the requirements of modern plastics processing operations.
The solution combines several key functions within a single system while significantly reducing the effort required to integrate it into existing control systems.
In day-to-day industrial operation, interface issues often arise when individual components such as locking systems, level sensors and warning lights need to be combined. This is where Achberg’s new solution comes in: the advanced roller-containers combine several key functions that are pre-installed, pre-wired and ready for use straight from the factory.
The functional scope includes an electromechanical cover lock, an integrated level sensor and a red warning light, whose function can be assigned as required. All signals are bundled through a 10-pin connector and made available to the higher-level control system of the central material handling system. The current range comprises two round roller-containers with capacities of 120 litres and 215 litres, as well as one rectangular container with a capacity of 200 litres.
“Our objective was to transform the container from a passive transport container into an active component of the process chain,” explains the company. “Users benefit from simplified integration, a clearly defined interface and a significant cost advantage compared with using individual components.”
By combining multiple functions within a single system, planning, coordination and installation efforts are significantly reduced. At the same time, the solution offers an attractive economic advantage, as separate components, additional wiring and individual adaptation work are no longer required.
The material container is particularly suitable for plastics processing applications where process reliability and transparency are critical, for example in injection moulding and extrusion operations.
