Coupling table with RFID sensor technology

The new TWIST coupling tables from Siloanlagen Achberg improve the monitoring of central material conveying systems thanks to advanced RFID sensor technology.
The latest generation of TWIST coupling tables from Siloanlagen Achberg offers a significant improvement in the monitoring of central material supply systems (vacuum conveying) through the use of state-of-the-art RFID sensor technology. This innovative technology sends a corresponding signal to the central control system during coupling changes, greatly reducing the risk of operator error.

According to the manufacturer, the new coupling table from Siloanlagen Achberg offer numerous advantages. Thanks to the contactless and process-reliable communication between RFID sensors and RFID tags, every coupling action is signaled to the central control system within milliseconds. The RFID sensors are mounted on the pipe connection couplings, while the RFID tags are attached to the caps or hose connection couplings of the coupling table. The RFID sensor system can also be retrofitted to existing systems, regardless of the manufacturer. The standardized data interface (Modbus TCP/IP) allows for easy integration into existing systems. With this new product, Siloanlagen Achberg primarily targets manufacturers of central material supply systems (conveying, drying, and dosing of plastic granules).

Another advantage is the compact design of the TWIST couplings, which allows for a center-to-center distance of just 100 mm between couplings. This reduces the space required for the coupling table and minimizes hose clutter. “By using RFID sensor technology, the risk of incorrect material reaching the machine and causing production downtime is significantly reduced,” says the development department at Siloanlagen Achberg.

More products, more exhibition space and an entirely new stand design – these are the intentions of the south-German manufacturer for this year’s K Fair. The exhibits focus on the handling and storage of plastic granules; however, many of these products can also be used for plastic regrinds and regranules. For this year’s K Fair in Düsseldorf, Siloanlagen Achberg has many new ideas. With a much larger exhibition stand, Achberg presents the latest trade fair innovations and a selection of its market-renowned product range. The focus is on the storage and handling of bulk materials for the plastics industry. Particularly in current times, a sufficient supply of materials and a process-stable material feed are of utmost importance. Trade fair highlights The first prototype of the new mixing container was previously introduced by Siloanlagen Achberg at this year’s KUTENO in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. The further developed version of the mobile mixer is already close to being ready for series production. The product should be available on the market from early 2023. Additionally, 3D-printed examples of plants and a coupling

Single-walled suction probe with convenient regulation of intake air
Siloanlagen Achberg has designed a user-friendly and powerful suction probe with gradual regulation of the suction air, to ensure the proper solids to air ratio for pneumatic conveying. To expand the market-renowned suction probe range, Siloanlagen Achberg has designed a user-friendly and powerful suction probe with gradual regulation of the suction air. As is generally known, suction conveying begins when the bulk material enters the material line. Here it is important that the ratio of bulk material and conveying air can be optimally adjusted. ”The single-walled suction probe with the designation SGL.1B was designed precisely for this purpose,” says the manufacturer. Another advantage: the lance is a cost-effective alternative to the double-walled suction probe . The focus is on the sliding sleeve, which is easy to lock in place by means of a locking bolt. With a total of 6 graduations, the conveying air can be optimally adjusted and documented for the respective application. In practice, it has been shown that even larger throughputs of plastic granulate can be realised reliably, especially for small to medium distances. Achberg manufactures
