The basic package consists of high level indicator, silo filling device, control, and signal horn. Depending on requirement this package can be supplemented with further useful elements like signal lamp, pressure valve, pressure indicator, demand indicator, or empty detector. The coaters are ideally suited to add homogeneous liquid to fragile products. The walls are heated and insulated and may, if desired, thereby reaching a wall temperature of 70 C. The residence time and degree of filling are adjustable. The addition of fluid may be a part of the recipe, but it can also serve as a binder material in order to reduce dust in the final product. Depending on application can also be made a sanitary design. However, the coaters are also suitable as inline mixer for mixing of various powder or grain flow. At the Powtech DMN-Westinghouse will present its newly designed HP high pressure rotary valve. This valve has a very important advantage in air leakage: the special configuration of the body and rotor does not only protect product against degradation, it also does not allow any axial air leakage. This means that this valve has an air leakage reduction of one third against other standard high pressure valves. The DMN-Westinghouse HP rotary valves with specially designed inlet are very suitable for applications in the metering and pneumatic conveying of granular formed products under a high pressure of maximum 3.5 bar g.
