At the Schüttgut 2011, Berthold Technologies presents a moisture measurement system that works absolutely non-contacting and never requires maintenance. Micro-Polar is a Microwave measuring system, which - based on transmission technology, penetrates the whole material cross-section, thus allowing for utmost representative measuring results. Once installed and calibrated, Micro-Polar works highly accurately and reliably for many years of operation. The multi-frequency technology, utilized by Berthold Technologies, ensures a very stable measurement, eliminating the influence of reflecting surfaces.
The system can be installed on both conveyor belts and chutes. Providing options to compensate for varying bulk heights and varying bulk densities, Micro-Polar achieves an outstanding measuring accuracy even for tricky applications. Successful installations can be found on coal, sand, wood chips, gypsum, fertilizer etc.
