By using a radiometric belt weigher, the mass flow of wood chips or bark can be measured by means of contactless technology. Measuring the mass flow of wood chips or bark The main advantage compared to conventional weighing systems is that the radiometric belt weigher does not need to be recalibrated and provides reliable results during many years of operation. For the operating interface you need a so called FDT2-container, e.g. PACTware, in which the DTM must be integrated. However the user interface of the DTM is more intuitive and clearly presented. For example, in the processing of uranium ores where the level of uranium sludge is measured. Likewise in the production of plastics, under certain circumstances radioactive isotopes can be present in the process gas*. The Berthold analyzer Micro-Polar Moist LB 568 provides an accurate and reliable online measurement of the carbon content in fly ash. The real-time information about the proportion of unburnt ash can be used to improve the combustion rate and boiler efficiency. The non-contacting measurement is maintenance-free and as a result of the sophisticated detector stabilization, highly reliable measuring results are guaranteed for many years of operation. Vibration, weather or varying particle size and composition have no effect on the measuring performance.
