amixon Test centers: Experience results under real conditions

Secure processes. Confirm decisions. Make investments safely.

Security arises in real operation - not on paper

Calculations, simulations, and empirical values form a solid foundation. The final safety arises where processes are operated under realistic conditions: in the intended temperature and pressure range, with the planned energy input, with real fill levels and batch sizes, with your original product. In the amixon technical center, these conditions are deliberately replicated. The goal is to confirm that your processes can be operated stably, reproducibly, and economically on a production scale.

Broad process expertise

Also for demanding applications. In the amixon technical center, both mixing processes and drying and reaction processes are investigated with original products under realistic conditions. The focus is on the safe design of the entire process. Mixing processes include mixing, homogenizing, granulating, agglomerating, moistening, coating, and other refining steps. Evaluated are mixing quality, product protection, energy input, cleanability, and reproducibility in later series operation. Drying and reaction processes involve applications where temperature, vacuum, pressure, or reaction control play a central role. This includes vacuum drying, thermal processes, syntheses, as well as temperature- and pressure-controlled process steps under demanding conditions. In both areas, experiments are conducted with real process parameters and your original products - regardless of whether they are dry, moist, wet, or safety-critical products.

Original product. Real parameters. Reliable results.

Over 30 test facilities in different sizes enable processes to be realistically simulated from small scale to pilot plant. Even with limited product quantities, reliable statements for production scale can be made.
The experiments are carried out, evaluated, and documented together with the amixon experts. The goal is always to select the optimal apparatus and the appropriate process parameters - tailored to your specific application.

A technical trial means:

  • Confirmation of existing process parameters under real conditions
  • Assurance of product quality, process stability, and economic efficiency
  • Selection of the optimal apparatus based on our own test data
  • Minimization of technical and economic risks before investment

Invitation to Paderborn

Many investment decisions in plant construction are far-reaching. A pilot plant experiment provides the security to make these decisions with a good feeling. We cordially invite you to verify your processes together with us in the amixon pilot plant - confidentially, in partnership, and with a clear focus on decision security.
amixon test center - Securing industrial processes before investment: In the amixon test center, mixing processes as well as drying and reaction processes are examined with original products under realistic production conditions. The goal is to confirm existing process parameters and select the optimal apparatus before making the investment decision. Even demanding applications can be reproducibly tested and safely transferred to an industrial scale.

Process technology for gentle mixing processes in cereals, seed mixtur
Muesli thrives on its diversity - and it is this diversity that places special demands on mixing technology. amixon® develops and builds industrial mixers that reliably combine heterogeneous ingredients while preserving structure, appearance, and quality. Muesli stands for diversity, naturalness, and a conscious start to the day. The products consist of a combination of cereal flakes, seeds, nuts, dried fruits, and other ingredients, which vary greatly in size, shape, and weight depending on the recipe. It is this diversity that makes muesli attractive - but it also presents special process engineering requirements for industrial production. Manufacturers expect mixing processes that deliver visually appealing and functionally stable products. Each element should arrive where it belongs - evenly distributed, without damage, and without segregation. Typical products and terms in muesli production: - Muesli base mixes - Seed and grain mixes - Cereal components - Nuts and dried fruits - Crunchy and crispy mueslis - Organic and clean label mueslis - Instant cereals and functional mixes Requirements for mixing and refining The requirements for mixing processes in the muesli industry are significantly different

Mixing technology for products in the food ingredients industry amixon develops and builds mixing technology for food ingredients applications, focusing on homogeneity, product protection, and process safety.
Mixing technology for products in the food ingredients industry
amixon develops and builds mixing technology for food ingredients applications, focusing on homogeneity, product protection, and process safety. Products of the food ingredients industry Food Ingredients are the functional building blocks of modern food. They determine texture, taste, stability, and processability - often in very small doses, but with a great effect. Whether stabilizers, emulsifiers, flavors, or functional blends: the quality of a final product depends on the even distribution of its ingredients. Manufacturers of Food Ingredients work with highly concentrated recipes, sensitive additives, and varying applications. Their products are further processed - in baked goods, dairy products, beverages, or ready-to-eat concepts - and must function reliably there. Accordingly, the requirements for mixing technology, process stability, and hygiene are high. Typical products and terms in the field of Food Ingredients: - Food stabilizers and texturizers - Flavors and flavor precursors - Emulsifiers and functional additives - Starch, sugar, and their derivatives - Functional and enriched ingredient

Gyraton Silo Mixer: Redefining Precision with 90% Less Energy The Gyraton silo mixer sets a new benchmark for large-scale mixing, delivering ultra-precise homogenization with only 5-10% of the energy used by conventional systems—a breakthrough in cost-effectiveness and compact design.
Gyraton Silo Mixer: Redefining Precision with 90% Less Energy
The Gyraton silo mixer sets a new benchmark for large-scale mixing, delivering ultra-precise homogenization with only 5-10% of the energy used by conventional systems—a breakthrough in cost-effectiveness and compact design. High Efficiency Through Tailored Power Scaling The Gyraton silo mixer is a precision mixer that sets new standards for mixing quality, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. It delivers ideal mixing qualities while remaining maximumly efficient. Users determine the mixing time, and the motor size adapts precisely to it. For example, 22 kW of drive power is sufficient for mixing a 20 m³ batch. This is an efficiency advantage that has a direct impact on your operating costs. Compact Architecture for Lower Operational Costs The Gyraton® mixing silo requires only five to ten percent of the power of a conventional precision mixer, yet it homogenizes materials with the highest precision. The process is extremely gentle, and the silo is remarkably compact due to its cylindrical mixing chamber. A 70 m³ unit is less than 7.5 meters high—reducing chamber height by two-thirds compared to conical mixers. This saves energy during filling, reduces the need for extensive conveyor
