Vent-Saf rupture discs protect reliably
The Vent-Saf explosion protection rupture discs from Bormann & Neupert by BS&B GmbH reliably and cost-effectively contain the dangers of agitated, flammable dust: as a predetermined breaking point, they yield in a controlled manner in an emergency and allow the explosion pressure, along with hot combustion gases and burnt or unburnt mixture, to escape into a defined safety zone. Their high-precision design and functionality make these passive components almost maintenance-free and inexpensive to purchase and install. And through their quick recommissioning, they ensure the productivity and functionality of process engineering plants and also protect people and the environment.

Reliable protection – easy to install and economical
The Vent-Saf explosion protection rupture discs – especially in the version with an integrated mounting frame – are among the most installation-friendly pressure relief devices on the market. Their very flat design also makes handling uncomplicated, simple, and fast. Once installed, Vent-Saf reliably protects due to their fast reaction capability and the sudden release of a large relief opening. To ensure perfect fit, Bormann & Neupert by BS&B offers the explosion protection rupture discs in numerous size variants and with response pressures from 20 to 350 millibars.
The standard version of Vent-Saf is made of stainless steel AISI 304L; for highly corrosive media, materials such as Hastelloy, Inconel, or Monel are also available. The seals are designed as EPDM sponge seals – special sealing materials can also withstand process temperatures above 250 °C permanently or meet special hygiene requirements. Optional versions also integrate electrical insulation, weather protection, or integrity sensors, as well as a customer-specific hole pattern.
Vent-Saf can be used in all applications where powdery substances can pose a hazard. This is the case, for example, in the production of food and animal feed, in woodworking, and in pharmaceuticals or the coal industry.
