PMT Processing GmbH is one of the leading companies in the field of dry fine and ultrafine milling and screening.

At the toll grinding center in Kammern, Austria, PMT offers milling and classifying of soft to medium-hard minerals, as well as powdered chemical and natural products, using spiral jet mills. These mills are designed to achieve high aspect ratios even at extreme fineness, enabling narrow particle size distributions, precise top-size control, and ultrafine particles down to below 1 µm.

For the handling, packaging, and storage of bulk materials, flexible equipment is available, complemented by suitable storage facilities.

PMT Processing GmbH: New Name, Same Strength in Contract Grinding
Fine grinding below 1 µm, co-grinding, doping and coating – PMT Processing GmbH stands for advanced powder processing solutions. PMT Powder Maker Group GmbH is now PMT Processing GmbH. As part of Grafitbergbau Kaisersberg GmbH, we are now even more strongly positioned – while our services in contract grinding and dry fine grinding continue with the same proven quality. At our toll grinding center in Kammern, Austria, we process soft to medium-hard minerals, chemical and natural products into fine and ultrafine powders. Using our spiral jet mills, we achieve – depending on the product – particle sizes below 1 µm, narrow particle size distributions and precise top-cut control. If required, we combine the grinding process with co-grinding, doping or coating to modify or enhance product properties. Our systems are designed for frequent product changes and are thoroughly cleaned to ensure the highest purity and consistent quality. Flexible systems are available for handling, packaging and storage, complemented by an in-house laboratory for analysis and quality control. Your Benefits: -

Ultra-fine grinding meets Italy - PMT at SOLIDS Parma 2023 We invite you to visit us at SOLIDS Parma 2023 to learn more about energy efficient fine grinding and our toll grinding service close to the Italian border.
Ultra-fine grinding meets Italy - PMT at SOLIDS Parma 2023
We invite you to visit us at SOLIDS Parma 2023 to learn more about energy efficient fine grinding and our toll grinding service close to the Italian border. PMT Powder Processing and PMT-Jetmill are exhibitors at SOLIDS Parma 2023, the European Trade Show for Granules, Powders and Bulk Solids Technologies. On June, 14th and 15th we present our newest developments in ultra-fine grinding and classifying. We would appreciate welcoming you at our booth B15 in Hall 8 and inform you about energy-efficient grinding and toll grinding. Machines and toll grinding PMT produces jetmills for dry fine grinding. We sell machines, and we offer toll grinding as well. That happens in our toll grinding center in Kammern/Austria, close to the Italian boarder, where we grind your raw material according to your requirements. Possible product fineness is in a range between 1 micron up to about 50 micron. Spiral Jetmill The mill type is a spiral Jetmill. It provides very smooth grinding and excellent delamination. Is has an integrated classifier and with that it is possible to produce a very fine product with an exact top cut and narrow

Highest fineness through circumferential speed up to 190 m/s
The Spiral Type Jetmill of PMT-Jetmill is specialized in optimizing air streams in combination with a so-called rotor-motor-unit. This combined “rotor-motor-unit” (RMU), built with the highest precision, is the heart of the PMT spiral jetmill. It grants a high operating security, low energy consumption and finest products of PMT’s Jetmills. The results from aerodynamic research work were implemented into a patented rotor wheel geometry and in a mechanical concept to achieve circumferential speeds of up to 190 m/s. When used in jetmills with internal fine grinding and classifying circuit, products with a fineness even below 1 µm top cut can be produced. This fineness can be achieved even in industrial scale machines and high content recovery classifiers. The rotor unit is directly combined with a high-speed motor unit with the advantage of maintenance-free high-speed bearings.

Ultra-fine grinding of Kaolin Spiral jetmills enable ultra-fine products with dry processing. The Spiral Type Jetmill of PMT-Jetmill is specialized in optimizing air streams to improve efficiencies and to minimize energy consumption. One application example is Kaolin.
Ultra-fine grinding of Kaolin
Spiral jetmills enable ultra-fine products with dry processing. The Spiral Type Jetmill of PMT-Jetmill is specialized in optimizing air streams to improve efficiencies and to minimize energy consumption. One application example is Kaolin. The material is fed pneumatically to the spiral jetmill and runs spirally through the milling chamber. Grinding media enters the area through the milling nozzles. Grinding media is either compressed air (3.5 to 15 bar and 240°C) or superheated steam (up to 24 bar and 400°C). The air stream fluidizes the material-bed and lifts as much particles as possible into the stream. Comminution is mainly based on shearing forces which result from velocity differences. The integrated dynamic classifier is capable to run at a maximum circumferential speed of 190 m/s. As soon as the particles reach a certain fineness, they can pass the classifier to the final product. The fineness can be easily adjusted by variation of the classifier speed. One application example is Kaolin: Sample 1: * 9700 rpm classifier speed * Particle size: d50 = 2,0 µm (after Sympatec Helos) * Particle size: d97 = 5,2 µm (after Sympatec Helos) Sample 2: * 7700 rpm classifier speed * Particle
