L10 Lab Mixer The smallest mixer in our product range, the L10 laboratory mixer, can hold up to 10 liters of product and is equipped with a transparent drum so you can see exactly how particles flow while they are being mixed. This mixer is especially useful for small batch testing and R&D activities. 2. Gull Wing Mixer The Gull Wing mixer is a 1000-liter batch capacity mixer with hatches resembling luxury car doors or sea ”gull” wings. The double hatch feature was initially created for a client who sought an easier method for cleaning and has now become a standard option available for all the mixers on our product line. 3. To date, Weishardt runs 3 Lindor L25000 mixers in 3 factory locations, with their latest order just installed in their newly opened production site. The first company to super-size their mixer and, in effect, extended the Lindor product range to the XXL L25000 in the 2004, was French gelatin pioneer: Weishardt. The concept was simple enough; they required a large capacity industrial blender the size of a tanker truck tank for the homogenous mixing of gelatin powder and granulate. The realization of the concept was, however, far from simple. Flash forward to today, their 3rd XXL Lindor mixer has just been installed in their newly opened plant in Graulhet, France where collagen is being blended. A bespoke solution in mixing technology Weishardt’s need for a 25,000-liter mixer drove the innovation which resulted in the Lindor L25000, the world’s largest powder mixer of its kind. At the time of the inquiry 18 years ago, the Lindor factory was not structurally capable of hoisting such a giant. A solid 20 tons of metal with a 12,5-ton rotating mass; it was even too heavy for the factory floors to bear.

The gentle touch mixing principle of Lindor rotary drum blenders ensures that the quality of the components remains intact. There is little or no product break-up, dust formation and heating up. Thanks to the usually good running properties of plastics the mixing times can be short. This means that high capacities can be achieved, certainly in the case of a continuous mixing process. For example capacities of 5 to 15 (and even 20) tonnes/hour. An innovative option to simplify the production process for a batch mixer is the use of the mixing drum as a ‘cyclone’ in a pneumatic conveyor system. By creating a vacuum the granules can be aspirated directly from the silo into the mixer. Rotary drum blenders are therefore particularly suitable for many applications in the plastics industry. Mixer-Cooler for battery powder Lindor has developed two large Mixer-Coolers for the production of battery powders for a large international project. Despite the corona pandemic, the project provided a rewarding international cooperation between the European customer, a Chinese engineering team and a Scandinavian installation team. The Mixer-Coolers feature a new technical innovation, in which a very thin, heat-conducting ceramic coating is applied to all contact parts. This ensures that no contact occurs between the battery powder and the metal of the drum wall. The heated mixer is being used for enhancing product characteristics of special compounds which are produced by BUSS compounding lines in several countries. BUSS AG is a global market leader in building special process equipment such as kneaders for producing (plastic) compounds. In the process of producing special HDPE and LDPE compounds, the Lindor mixer with heated mixing drum, is used for soaking the granulate with a special liquid. The Dutch Agro-Industrial Group "Royal Cosun" is currently building a pilot plant for developing processes for getting the most out of their raw materials and by-products. Cosun Food Technology Centre (CFTC), has approached Lindor specifically for mixing and drying of their products after the processing of their by-products. For these products the mixing and even more importantly the drying, should be conducted in a controlled manner without any side effects. The bio refining process Cosun wants to extract as much as possible from the crops they use. In the pilot plant the crop will be completely taken apart in several stages for conversion into valuable and useful new products. All kinds of materials originating from the cells will be converted to products used in the food, animal feed and chemical industries. The remaining bio mass will be used to generate "green energy". Lindor has moved to a new premises in Dordrecht, Netherlands, per December 2011. This move is an important step in the development of Lindor. The new location offers more space and a better layout for our activities. Three halls, each with a 20 Ton overhead crane span the production area. All stainless steel welding and shaping as well as final machine assembly is now located in one of these halls. Also the offices offer a better layout to provide space for our growing engineering department.
