Lindor Factory Acceptance Tests Go Digital

Lindor offers an online version of the routine FAT to meet the needs of our global client base.

Flexibility and dedication to customer service are of the highest importance to Lindor. What started as a solution-oriented response to Covid-19 restrictions has now turned into a permanent service offering, as we now provide remote Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as a standard option.
The latest usage of this service was last month, to the convenience of Lindor clients in South Korea and China, who each ordered large mixer-soakers for polymer production.

Progressing with the Times

Lindor has been selling specialty mixers and processing machines for over 30 years, conducting countless FATs along the way. Clients can make any changes necessary while their machine is still at the Lindor factory.

When the pandemic hit, it became difficult for clients to travel to attend the FAT at the Lindor production facility in the Netherlands. Recognizing the need to accommodate this important service, we started with two variations of a digital FAT- an “online” or live session and an “offline”, recorded and sent version.

Online vs. Offline FAT

During an online digital FAT, we are on a live video stream with the clients who we take on a walk through all the steps while they tune in from the comfort of their own office. Clients can respond right then and there and see all the results first-hand.
Another option that Lindor provides is the possibility of an offline digital FAT where our employees make videos of all the functionalities, and they are all shared with the client. This includes a full report of the data that came out of the test. Clients then get the time to respond and make any changes if necessary.

Saving Our Clients Time and Money

As almost a third of our international clients like to utilize the remote FAT, Lindor decided to incorporate digital FATs into a standard option for clients. While there are many great benefits of coming to the Lindor facility for a traditional FAT, like more face-to-face time together (and we always offer a nice lunch or dinner), this is a good alternative. This option is cost-effective and time saving for clients who have to travel a long way to get to our Dutch facility.

Lindor Delivers a Custom Gentle Touch Mixer to German Tea Producer
Lindor draws on extensive expertise in the tea industry to provide a customized industrial tea mixer to another satisfied German client. This medium-sized, rotary drum mixer has a batch capacity of 2000 liters (about 71 cu ft). It is equipped with our unique Gentle Touch mixing technology and retractable inlet and outlet for easy cleaning and inspection. For this special order, we modified the standard Lindor tea blender by exchanging the outlet for a bigger one.
