With its new Polderflex PUR Food A hose, the Masterflex Group from Gelsenkirchen, Germany, presents yet another highlight at this year’s Anuga FoodTec in Cologne. The renowned trade show focuses on high-quality products for the food & beverage industry. As a fully certified PU suction and transport hose, this range boasts a smooth inner and outer lining for transporting both solids and liquids. Made of pure Polyether Polyurethane, this range is anti-static, high quality food-grade and accords to the international FDA standards for the food, chemicals and pharmaceutical industries.
The new Polderflex PUR Food A hose combines the positive mechanical features of the existing Polderflex PUR range with the outstanding food-grade material features of the renowned Master PUR Food A range. The result is a hose, which creates even greater added value for Masterflex customers - and extends the impressive product range for food-grade hoses even further.
The Polderflex PUR Food A is equipped with a stainless steel spiral and a smooth inner and outer lining, offering almost zero surface resistance for deposits and is therefore extremely easy to keep clean. Thanks to its special surface qualities, the new hose boasts excellent flow properties, which greatly enhance the durability and life-cycle of the hose even when faced with the toughest abrasive demands. Due to the hose’s unique material makeup, it offers incredible flexibility with even the smallest of bending radii, making it extremely versatile in its application.
All of the materials applied fulfil the national and international food-grade regulations and, thanks to their additional conformity to the German Consumer Goods standards and the EU directive 2002/72/EC with its latest amendment guidelines, the hoses are perfectly suited for use in the food industry. As Masterflex only applies raw and additional materials listed by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration), the processed synthetics therefore also conform to the regulations for the USA.
The microbe and hydrolysis resistant Polderflex PUR Food A hose can be safely applied for the discharging of electrostatic charges when transporting flammable dust/bulk-solids thanks to even more special properties. These include the special food-grade raw material recipe and a non-migratory permanent anti-static agent, which fulfils the TRBS 2153 (Zone 20) standard.
