Laboratory Mixer Mixomat A with additional options
The Mixomat A laboratory mixer is now also available with optional container heating and interior cooling (cooling of the mixing chamber).
Mixomat drum mixers are used for mixing or pre-blending bulk materials in the chemi-cal, pharmaceutical, and food industries. Among other things, they are also suitable for powders and granulates that do not have optimal flow properties. The Mixomat drum mixer range has a modular design and includes mixers for a wide variety of container sizes and applications.
The Mixomat A laboratory mixer is designed for quantities or batches of 3 to 26 li-ters, a maximum bulk material weight of 2 kg/l, and a maximum payload of 25 kg, with a weight of 90 kg. This mixer has the same features as the large drum mixers and, thanks to its mobility, can be used directly on site or in the laboratory area.
The Mixomat A laboratory mixer is also available as a two-sided version and as a com-fortseries or ecoline version.
The functionality is identical to that of its larger Mixomat counterparts: the container, filled to a maximum of 70% of its gross volume, is rotated upside down for a preselect-ed period of time. The inclined position on the barrel holder results in a three-dimensional mixing effect. This ensures that the mixture is processed gently, efficiently, and flaw-lessly.
The laboratory mixer is safety-approved in accordance with EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and is supplied with an accident prevention device consisting of an acrylic glass hood equipped with a contactless limit switch. This allows the mixing process to start only when the hood is completely closed. In the two-sided version, both hoods must be closed.
As standard, the container is secured using the tried-and-tested BV type barrel holders. The container is placed on the holder base, the holder is folded down and clamped in place using a quick-release fastener. An adjustable foot in the middle of the bracket presses down on the container lid and also serves to fine-tune the container height. The container holders can also be adapted to containers provided by the customer. The mixer housing and the container holder are made entirely of 1.4301 stainless steel, and the surfaces are ground.
The Mixomat A comfortseries laboratory mixer is equipped with a Siemens PLC Logo 8 with a 4" touch-sensitive screen with time setting and speed control from 7 to 35 rpm. (Up to 20 combinations of the two parameters can be stored as recipes). The ecoline version includes a main switch, start and stop switches. A powerful built-in DC gear mo-tor provides the drive with a consumption of 0.12 kW, with transmission via roller chain. The mixer is designed for 1-phase 230 V operation and is supplied with a 3 m connection cable without plug.d rotational speeds for the drum.
The Mixomat A is also available as a mobile version with a stainless steel base and either swivel casters or leveling feet, also in an ATEX version for zones 2/22 or 1/21.
New options now available: Container heating, cooling of the mixing chamber (interior) via an external cooling unit.
