TBMA Reintroduces MAX and RAX Medium-Duty Airlocks

TBMA has announced the reintroduction of its MAX and RAX medium-duty rotary valves, engineered to provide reliable dosing and conveying solutions for powders and granules within bulk solids processing industries.

Optimized for Limited Differential Pressure

The reintroduced rotary valves are specifically engineered for applications with limited differential pressure. These units ensure optimal performance in low-pressure pneumatic conveying systems, under cyclones and filters, and during big-bag discharging operations. Built with a robust and compact construction, they are equipped with dust-tight, sealed-for-life bearings that guarantee a long operational lifespan in continuous industrial production processes.

Distinct Flange Designs Ensure Application Flexibility

The product line offers distinct design variations to fit specific system integration needs. The MAX models feature standard round connecting flanges across four inlet sizes. Conversely, the RAX models are built with a relatively large flange diameter in comparison to their rotor capacity, serving as a practical solution when flange dimensions take priority. Featuring a combination of round and square flanges, the RAX can act as a direct transition piece, reducing installation height and eliminating extra mounting components.

Technical Specifications and Material Configurations

Both valve ranges incorporate design enhancements aimed at maximizing processing efficiency and equipment durability. Key performance features and available custom configurations include:
  • Rotor capacity ranging from 5.5 up to 34 liters per revolution
  • Double shearing edge on both the inlet and outlet
  • Corrosion-resistant version with a stainless steel rotor
  • Abrasion-resistant version with a hardened blade steel rotor
  • Options for direct in-line drive or bare shaft execution

TBMA Expands Bulk Handling for Schneider Electric in Turkey
TBMA has successfully implemented a new bulk storage and pneumatic conveying system for silica powder at Schneider Electric’s Turkish facility, enhancing production capacity for energy management components. Expansion of silica powder processing capacity To support the manufacturing of electrical and electronic components, Schneider Electric required additional storage and automated transport of silicon dioxide (SiO2) to its mixing stations. TBMA provided a complete turnkey solution, integrating two 80 m3 silos with a high-pressure pneumatic conveying system capable of transporting 500 kg per hour over a distance of 50 meters. Advanced silo discharge and monitoring technology The installed stainless steel silos are equipped with specialized discharge systems and radar-controlled level measurement to ensure a consistent material flow. For environmental compliance and operational safety, integrated reversed jet filter units manage ventilation and dust separation during the bulk truck loading process. Dense-phase conveying for efficient material transport * High-pressure vessels utilize an automatic valve system for fluidization. * Dense-phase technology ensures the…

TBMA H-GRD blowing seal sets a new standard in aquafeed
TBMA have redesigned their H-GRD blowing seal, dedicated to handling fish feed on feeding barges for open sea fish farming. Barge builders have to deal with specific requirements for the feeding systems, such as limited space and an isolated, salty environment. So, how could we help them with a smart solution valve? The H-GRD of itself already is a robust and reliable valve that offers efficient dosing. Most important for aquafeed, its gentle handling causes minimal damage to the fish feed and therefore minimal water pollution. As a result, the ROI of the valve is very favourable. Redesign for even easier maintenance For the redesign, we mounted a direct in-line drive and consequently reduced the number of parts. As a result, maintenance is even easier than before and less spare parts are required. Moreover, the valve has a smaller installation size. Triple advantage. We are excited that our customers have enthusiastically welcomed the new design: the valves have recently been installed in the largest barge built so far.
