Expansion of silica powder processing capacity
To support the manufacturing of electrical and electronic components, Schneider Electric required additional storage and automated transport of silicon dioxide (SiO2) to its mixing stations. TBMA provided a complete turnkey solution, integrating two 80 m3 silos with a high-pressure pneumatic conveying system capable of transporting 500 kg per hour over a distance of 50 meters.
Advanced silo discharge and monitoring technology
The installed stainless steel silos are equipped with specialized discharge systems and radar-controlled level measurement to ensure a consistent material flow. For environmental compliance and operational safety, integrated reversed jet filter units manage ventilation and dust separation during the bulk truck loading process.
Dense-phase conveying for efficient material transport
- High-pressure vessels utilize an automatic valve system for fluidization.
- Dense-phase technology ensures the correct air-powder mixture for SiO2.
- Automated cycles manage filling, pressurizing, and transport to mixers.
- System includes steel structures, control cabinets, and custom software.
Automated transport cycles optimize production flow
The system operates on demand, filling the pressure vessels to a preset volume before initiating the transport cycle. This automated sequence of filling and pressurization repeats rapidly until the target mixer reaches the required capacity, ensuring precise dosing and minimal manual intervention in the production line.
