Composite silo 60m³ Ø 3.000mm, explosion panels, over/under pressure valve Together with a partner, M.I.P. was asked to supply a silo for a French brewery for the storage of malt. The silo has a volume of 60m³ with a diameter of 3.000mm and a height of almost 12 metres. Malt is, among other things, one of the plant parts that gives flavour to beer. Unfortunately, this raw material is also subject to natural phenomena such as condensation. In order to guarantee good quality, the correct storage of malt is essential. The M.I.P. silo offers protection against all weather conditions and the stored malt is kept in a stable way. The high thermal insulation value of the composite silo makes it insensitive to condensation, which prevents the stored malt from going mouldy. The silo is also weatherproof, corrosion- and chemical-resistant, strong, durable and low-maintenance. M.I.P. is currently installing 30 silos for a German manufacturer of compound animal feed. The silos have a capacity of 60m³, a diameter of 2.800mm and a height of almost 12 metres. The dog and cat food that our customer produces is composed of the natural spoils that dogs and cats find in the wild. The food meets the different needs of dogs and cats regardless of breed, size or age. Thanks to the production method, where the food is compressed in cold water, the vitamins and nutrients in the dog and cat food are completely preserved. All 30 silos are identical and have a resinous coloured Uv-resistant finish. Because the silos are equipped with seamless, mirror-smooth inner walls, the flow of the product is promoted. M.I.P. recently delivered a 65m³ composite food grade silo for the storage of baker’s flour, in accordance with the Atex guidelines. For a client in Belgium, M.I.P. recently delivered a 65m³ composite food grade silo for the storage of baker’s flour. The silo was produced in accordance with the Atex guidelines (explosion panel, Atex filter, Atex vibratory floor....). Composites silos, Platform, Cage ladder In the south of the Netherlands, M.I.P. was commissioned to deliver an 80m³ - Ø 3.500mm cement silo. Due to the light weight of this silo, it was possible to place the silo on an existing frame. Because of the good thermal properties and smooth inner walls, the composite silo was the best choice for the customer. The silo is very complete with toprailing in galvanised steel and handrailing 1.250mm height. The platform on top of the silo can be reached by a cage ladder. When the silo is full, there is an optical and acoustic signal. The aeration set in the funnel ensures an easy flow of the cement.
