WEMO Sampling Carousel: budget-friendly, flexible, modular

The WEMO sampling carousel is the semi-automatic solution for unattended collection of sub-samples in separate sample containers.
The sampling carousel is the semi-automatic solution for unattended collection of sub-samples in separate sample containers. This budget-friendly carousel offers flexibility in the sampling process and can be modularly configured to seamlessly fit your specific production requirements.

Working principle

The carousel collects sub-samples in individual containers, providing a time buffer so that manual emptying can occur at a convenient moment. The system is available in various versions for different industries and offers nearly unlimited options for the number of containers and the volume per sample. For added flexibility, the carousel can be equipped with a PLC touchscreen for automated operation and easy integration into the process.

Features

  • Semi-automatic; The carousel automates a part of the sampling process, while the sample containers are emptied manually.
  • Specific container sizes; Choose containers from 0.5 liters up to over 50-liter buckets, including sample containers already used in your laboratory, for optimal alignment with your sampling needs.
  • Modular design; The carousel is built modularly and can be customized with options such as covers, extraction, sensors, and more, to suit the needs of your production environment.

Advantages

  • Flexible sampling process tailored to your production.
  • Select the number of samples and the desired volume per container.
  • Budget-friendly semi-automatic solution for efficient sampling.

APH-sampler for powders great succes in food- and chemical industries
Designed for the automatic sampling of powders in the food, animal feed, and chemical industries. Thanks to its hygienic design, it is highly suitable for applications in the food industry. Principle The APH uses a pneumatically driven plunger, which is inserted into the process line to collect powder samples. When closed, the plunger creates an airtight seal to prevent leakage. The sampler can be easily removed without tools for periodic cleaning. The standard version is made of 304 stainless steel with a glass bead-blasted finish, with an optional 316 stainless steel variant featuring a wet-blasted finish. The plunger itself is manufactured from FDA-compliant POM-C or an antistatic material containing graphite. Advantages * Hygienic Design: Highly suitable for use in the food industry. * Suitable for Difficult Products: Efficient for sampling challenging, poorly flowing powders. * Flexible Capacity: Available in capacities ranging from 50cc to 300cc.

Pre-sieving, proportion, testing and weighing of the fractions starts as soon as the sample is fed into the tester. The WEMO in-line Kempink durability (PDI) tester meets todays automated sampling process requirements. Pre-sieving, proportion, testing and weighing of the fractions, starts as soon as the factory automation has led the sample to the tester. After the test cycle, the PLC communicates the data with corresponding references back to the MES system. Each batch can thus be tested, for an ascertained quality system. For a reliable, accurate measurement of the durability (PDI), fines from the process are separated in the rotating sieve on top of the tester. Each test thus begins with a clean sample of only pellets. After the sieve, a sample is measured in a compartment for an optimal test volume (approx. 200 cc). Transparent side panels visualize the process and state of maintenance. The service door gives access for periodic cleaning. The scale registers fines and pellets separately, so that the PLC can calculate PDI values. The remaining and tested pellets are discharged

Sampling as a quality assurance tool
WEMO technique supplies a complete package of equipment and the know-how to obtain representative samples - automatically or otherwise - in order to guarantee the quality of production processes. Based on its decades of experience with worldwide projects in the feed, food and chemical industry, WEMO-techniek is in a position to recommend the optimum solution for every sampling challenge. Whether it is a fine powder or coarse grain, a raw material or end product, one or more positions; the systems of WEMO-techniek ensure representative samples. The programme varies from manual or air-operated sampling at one position to fully automated sampling at several positions, including transport, collection, packaging and labelling. Sampler With a range of standard samplers, most customers can be served directly. For a special application, it is possible to adapt a standard sampler or design a customised solution from a blank sheet. Automation In easily accessible places, a sampler can be operated manually, whereby the material is collected via a hand slide in a bag or container, or in a screwed-on sample container. It is a small step to automate sampling from this
