AVANCIS is one of the pioneers of photovoltaics with CIS technology, and has the longest experience in the commercial-scale production of CIS solar modules. The roots of the CIS technology go way back to 1981.
The manufacturing process of the CIS technology is characterized by fewer manufacturing steps and the much lower cost of materials and energy use. A continuous in-line production process reduces the complexity compared to crystalline silicon solar cells significantly. There are only thin glass plates, on which is a two-stage process, the CIS-coating of copper, indium and gallium as well as selenium and sulfur applied.
The quality of the entire production process is in part determined by the way the glass plates are dried properly and dust removed before the various layers are applied. For this purpose, the support has been called from Fiktech Production Optimization.
Fiktech calculated the required fan power and the amount of heat energy, which would give the optimum result. Then delivered Fiktech a package components, in particular: low pressure air knife, side-channel blower, and duct heater Hepa filter, together with the necessary flexible hoses. All this led to an optimal production of CIS solar modules and again a satisfied customer.
