The new Master-PURgreen hoses add yet more value to the Masterflex product range - these ‘green’ hose versions are manufactured from up to 52% renewable resources.
Bio-plastics are being used evermore frequently. Especially in recent times times when climate change and environmental issues are playing an even greater role than before. Renewable resources and energy sources are the keywords, which have attained an increasingly greater importance in the context of environmental protection. All agricultural and forestry resources not used for nutrition or feeding purposes are raw materials, which are renewable within a relatively short period of time.
“Nowadays, the majority of our customers feel it’s important to make a contribution to a better environment” said Christian Horstkoetter, Sales & Marketing Manager at Masterflex AG, Germany. “Sustainability is a key issue across the board in all industries, and one to which we want to contribute. We want to offer our customers an alternative, one which they know to be made from renewable resources“.
They key here is that Masterflex customers don’t have to compromise the renowned product quality. The Master-PURgreen hoses are merely another version of the successful Master-PUR range. These ecological hoses are available in the versions Master-PURgreen L, H and HX, which are the light, medium and heavy variations of the suction and blower hose with reinforced walls. The hoses are made from a special TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), which possesses a Shore hardness of approx. 80 A. The special feature: the TPU’s total formulation consists to 52 % of renewable raw materials. The mechanical characteristics and resistance level of these new Master-PURgreen products can be directly compared to our standard Master-PUR range. They are especially suitable for transporting highly abrasive solids, gaseous and liquid media, as well as fine-particle substances, such as dust and powders. They can also be applied as protective hosing against mechanical stress and wear.
The even greater commitment of Masterflex to environmental protection and sustainability has been clearly evident from the start of the year. The highly praised “Eco-Profit“ certification highlighted the successful conclusion to a long-standing project phase. The project initiative to use resources more efficiently and to apply a future-oriented environmental protection scheme has been a key focus of the company for some time.
