Sensitive bulk materials are a major challenge to a metering feeder in two ways. Products such as flakes, cereals and sensitive chemicals must not only be precisely fed but they are also extremely sensitive to pressure and shearing forces. Gericke offers the differential feeding technology combined with vibratory feeders for applications of this type.

Gericke combines the best of two worlds with the DIW-V differential feeder with vibration tubes. The Gericke differential technology compensates for the tare weight of the scale holder so the load cells of the scale can use the complete measurement resolution for the feed product.
The vibration tube from the discharge unit reduces the forces acting on the feed product. The shearing and pressure forces are greatly reduced compared to a feeding helix. This makes the DIW-V of interest to a very wide range of industries, regardless of whether the feed product is oxide ceramic, chocolate flakes or chips.
The advantages at a glance:
• Usable for fragile products.

• Wide capacity range (<100 l/h to >3,000 l/h)

• The vibration tubes are designed to eliminate dead space and can be cleaned very quickly and easily. All tube covers have quick-release locks. The vibration tubes can optionally be supplied with Teflon coating.
• Products with very different bulk weights can be fed with the same vibration tube. This is made possible by the Gericke Easydos feeder control in combination with a higher-level recipe administration.
