AchemAsia 2010 proves itself as the leading event for the process industrie

More than 400 exhibitors and an outstanding scientific program

The countdown is running – on June 1st, AchemAsia 2010 will open its doors in Beijing’s CNCC China National Convention Center. More than 400 exhibitors have already registered for the leading exhibition congress for the process industries in Asia, making it one of the biggest events in the series so far.

Besides the exhibition which offers exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to discuss the latest challenges and solutions in the process industries, the outstanding scientific program provides information on the current thoughts and developments in chemical engineering, environmental protection and biotechnology right from the opening day.

After the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Cao Xianghong, Chairman of CIESC, will give a plenary lecture on “Thoughts on the countermeasures to realize sustainable development of refining and petrochemical industry in China”. The second plenary lecture of the day is given by Dr. H. J. Wernicke, Chairman of DECHEMA and Vice Chairman of Süd-Chemie AG, Munich, on “Sustainable supply of energy and chemical feedstocks needs diversity”.

These two prominent presentations set the tone for one of the central topics of AchemAsia 2010, the question of how the global demand for energy and resources will be met in the future. In addition, the congress offers another 4 plenary lectures and more than 80 lectures on topics such as ionic liquids, catalysis, biotechnology, industrial water treatment, advanced materials and process control. Practice-oriented workshops and guest events round off the comprehensive program. The admission to the exhibition and the congress is free.
