This year, Gericke is celebrating its 115th anniversary!
The company was founded in 1894 in Zurich. Walter H. Gericke, specialist for flour milling processes, offered his engineering services and machines to the flour mill industry.
From the start of his activity, he focused on powder handling and processing. Brochures dated 1898 show a wide product range that included vertical mixers, filling machines and handling equipment. Customer satisfaction was of paramount importance to Walter Gericke and he put all his efforts into this aspect of his work. This is shown in the customer investigations that were carried out and the number of letters he received from customers confirming their satisfaction with Gericke.
Today, 115 years later, powder handling and processing as well as customer satisfaction still urge us on with regard to our vision for the future and involvement in our activities. Our customers benefit from our performance with regard to innovation, this certainly being a key factor for Gericke’s success. This is reflected by the recent new products and improved designs of machines that have been launched to the market.
In the year of its anniversary, Gericke has once again succeeded in its efforts to improve on its product range in order to be able to offer state of the art technology with the dramatically improved cleaning and accessing opportunities of its equipment. The product philosophy of open profiles, no hollow bodies and easy dismantling is constantly kept in mind during the design process for hygienic applications.
Gericke equipment includes pneumatic conveying systems, feeders, mixers, sifters, size reduction equipment, and is rounded off by turnkey engineering. The Gericke Group is now being managed in fourth generation by Markus H. Gericke and has its own subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
For its jubilee year, Gericke has expanded and rebuilt its famous Test Center and conducts comprehensive customer trials on conveying, feeding, mixing and sieving equipment.
