Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl Wins Audience Award at Foodvalley 2026
WEMO-techniek's Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl has won the audience award in the Industry & Logistics category of the Regio Foodvalley Innovation Award 2026. The system measures pellet durability directly at the press line.
That the Kempink method resonates was shown on 27 October: WEMO-techniek's Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl won the audience award in the Industry & Logistics category of the Dutch innovation award Regio Foodvalley 2026.
The Kempink method addresses a problem every pellet producer knows. A batch passes the lab check, is released and enters the supply chain. Yet after transport and storage, there is more dust in the silo than expected. Bridging occurs in the outlet, and the load segregates. The crux: a lab sample is only a snapshot, taken a few times per shift. What the press line produces the rest of the time remains unmeasured.
WEMO-techniek from Voorthuizen therefore brings the measurement directly to the press line. The Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl continuously measures pellet durability, 15 to 20 times per hour, right at the press line. The operator sees in real time whether quality drops and can correct it before an entire batch leaves the plant. This way, a plant produces exactly the quality it needs: not too low, which leads to complaints, and not unnecessarily high, which costs raw material, energy and additional CO2 emissions.
Since 2016, the Kempink method has shown in the lab whether a pellet survives the entire supply chain intact; since 2018, WEMO-techniek has also measured this quality inline, at the press line, today with the Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl.
