Food Connect 2025: Networking Event for Food Filling Experts

GREIF-VELOX is one of the oldest companies in the world with 1,000 years of company history: In the year 1,100, monks founded the Greifenmühle in Klützow in Pomerania, laying the foundations for many centuries of practical experience in efficient bagging, filling and palletizing. Ernst Mahlkuch, whose family had owned the Greifenmühle since 1734, used this experience to found GREIF-WERKE in 1938, which has been designing and producing innovative bagging machines and filling systems ever since. After 1945, GREIF-VELOX grew out of this foundation in Lübeck, Germany, with over 150 experts, who cultivate the tradition of over 1,000 years of innovation culture every day and thus constantly set new benchmarks in the industry. On 13 November 2025, GREIF-VELOX will host Food Connect in Lübeck, showcasing two fully automated packaging lines for leading food manufacturers. One of the systems combines multiple industry-specific requirements: * Two lines connected and centrally controlled * Flexible bag size handling with quick changeovers * Integrated FIBC (Big Bag) filling station * Fully automated product changeovers and wet cleaning * Connection to the customer’s central control room via open interfaces * Intelligent empty-pallet management and dual-line palletizing This event will demonstrate how maximum hygiene standards can be combined with full automation and efficiency – setting new benchmarks for the food industry.

Packaging machine specialist Greif-Velox launches “Packaging as a Service” for the bagging of ultra-light powders With a new “Packaging as a Service” (PaaS) model, Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik GmbH is offering an integrated service package for industrial powder bagging without any initial investment for the first time. The offer includes machine provision, financing, service, spare parts and merchandise parts as well as the supply of suitable paper bags as required - at a fixed monthly price. End-to-end solution for ultra-light powders While previous PaaS models in the packaging industry were limited to cardboard or reusable packaging solutions, GREIF-VELOX transfers the principle to complex industrial bagging systems - and goes one step further: the package not only includes consumables, but also the entire process from financing to commissioning and spare parts supply.
