Two exhibits at the stand demonstrate what such comprehensive solutions involving different systems and manufacturers can entail and their practical potential:
A complete solution with liquid addition, a WIP system and a material handling of make Hecht
The heart of one of these two exemplary units is a horizontal Ploughshare® Batch Mixer of type FKM 1600D which is being presented for the first time at a trade fair equipped with an automatic cleaning system, liquid addition and dosing as well as a feeding system from the Hecht Technologie GmbH, Germany. The result is a whole process that includes mixing, machine cleaning and the complete handling of the mixed products. Furthermore, the mixer is prepared for black/white separation enabling it to be implemented into separate production and technical areas.
The batch mixers of type FKM operate according to the fluid bed process which was introduced to industrial mixing technology by Lödige and ensure excellent mixing. They are ideal for a wide range of tasks across various industries — for example in the production of chemicals, building materials, food and pharmaceuticals — as they combine a short mixing time with maximum mixing precision and reproducibility of batches.
Material handling components of make Hecht are ideal for use with these mixers, but also with reactors, granulators and dryers. The bag dumpers from this manufacturer offer a compact, dust-free way to empty bags and, in combination with a ProClean vacuum conveyor (PCC), to convey the contents directly into the mixing drum of the Lödige machine.
Combined process with Leistritz technology
The second unit shown at the Powtech 2025 combines the pre-mixing and extrusion process steps which is realised with the Leistritz extrusion technology, the world’s leading manufacturer of twin-screw extruders. An extruder from this company based in Nuremberg is to be seen in combination with a Laboratory Mixer from Lödige.
