An antibacterial solution for production and packaging plants in the food a

Material `S` plus+ AB: An ideal solution for a bacteria- and microbe-free production environment

Material “S” plus+ AB, manufactured by Murtfeldt Kunststoffe, guarantees hygienic solutions in the food and drinks sector. The Dortmund-based plastics manufacturer and processor will be giving vivid demonstrations at the Anuga FoodTech Trade Fair from March, 10th till March, 13th 2009, in hall 10.1, booth number B 062.

Murtfeldt offers the solution for many problems faced by foodstuff producers and bottling and packaging companies asking for a bacteria- and microbe-free production environment when processing, packaging, and filling foodstuffs: Murtfeldt material “S” plus+ AB meets all requirements stipulated by the relevant authorities.

Material `S` plus+ AB belongs to Murtfeldt’s mature “S” plus+ range. Despite its antimicrobial attributes, this material is completely harmless and causes absolutely no damage to people or to the environment. Material `S` plus+ AB is used in plastic components and chain guide rails.

The Sektkellerei Schloss Wachenheim has been successfully using Material “S” plus+ AB for bottle grabbing jaws. The jaws are located in rinsing machines. For a long time, the bottle grabber jaws were made from rubber. However, this material hardens after a certain period of time and becomes brittle, leading to breaks.

After using “S” plus+ AB the cleaning effort has been significantly reduced, improved alignment has enabled narrow tolerances to be observed, and the overall running of the machines is considerably less prone to malfunction.
