Quick exchange of chain guides The problem is well-known: A chain causes wear on the plastic guide. Even if the wear is extremely low for Murtfeldt materials, the guides have to be exchanged from time to time. When using one-piece cage profiles, like Murtfeldt type K or CKG, the chain has to be separated and removed from the profile. Due to this problem, Murtfeldt, the Dortmund-based specialist in the the manufacturing and processing of semi-finished plastic products, has developed two new part guide rails for the roller chain sizes 16B-1 (1” x 17 mm) and 20B-1 (1 ¼ x ¾”). With them the assembly is very easy. The advantage of these new products: In future, there will be no need to remove the chain from the profile when overhauling the guides. The exchange of the chain guide is done in a quick, clean and chain protecting manner.
