Innovative Solutions and International Relations at Powtech

The POWTECH fair in Nuremberg once again proved to be extremely successful. The exhibition offered not only a perfect opportunity to maintain existing networks. It also enabled thepresentation of the latest products.
These included highlights such as the DustScrape, a filter unit, which is installed in the direction of conveyor belt as a calming zone after the chute. The DustScrape works in combination with the innovative AirScrape side seal and the TailScrape at the back of the chute. Together, they effectively reduce the dust to almost zero.

Another product presented was the E PrimeTracker. This is an intelligent conveyor belt tracker, which is equipped with sensors that can detect belt running situations, belt speed, and much more, and transmit this data to monitoring control systems.

The interest in the innovations presented was exceptionally high, and this was reflected in the projects already underway in southern Germany. The trade show was not only national but also international, with customers from Europe, Asia and North America exploring the wide range
of solutions and technologies.

The POWTECH exhibition in Nuremberg once again confirmed its
role as a leading platform for showcasing groundbreaking products and building international business relationships.

ScrapeTec on World Tour: From Nuremberg to Jakarta
ScrapeTec, the developers of innovative dust protection solutions for conveyor transfer points, are taking the international stage in September 2023, showcasing their outstanding solutions and innovations at not one, but three global trade shows. This commitment shows the company’s aim to strengthen its global presence and solidify its leading position in the industry. The first stop is Mining Indonesia Jakarta, a highly esteemed event in the mining industry, taking place from September 13th to 16th. The ScrapeTec team is happy about the promising prospects in Indonesia, despite having no direct references in this market. Nevertheless, there have been numerous inquiries and strong interest in their products and services. To establish a foothold in this emerging market, they plan to participate in Mining Indonesia. ”This trade show will be the first step in our strategy to enter Indonesia and get to know potential business partners and customers,” said Managing Director Thorsten Koth. Furthermore, they are pleased to involve their partner from Australia, KINDER PTY, in their efforts. Kinder Australia, is dedicated to providing their customers with the most advanced and efficient bulk handling solutions

Effective dust control in mining means substantial cost savings
Scrapetec specialists work continuously on solutions for addressing specific challenges at conveyor system transfer points in industries where dust and material spillage are significant concerns. This encompasses sectors such as mining and quarrying. The risk of explosions caused by dust emissions on conveyor belts is an ongoing problem that engineers around the world are trying to prevent. ScrapeTec experts developed a new dust control system about five years ago, that is proving to be highly effective – not only for preventing dust formation and material spill, but also to minimise the risk of explosion at critical sections along the conveyor route and transfer points and for more efficient belt-cleaning. ScrapeTec products – which are engineered in Germany to pristine quality and environmental standards – are proving to offer even greater operational cost savings in materials handling, than anticipated at the launch of the range. Apart from the benefit of cost savings, DustScrape and AirScrape dust suppression systems are highly effective in minimising exposure of workers to environmental pollution, which is a major problem caused by fugitive dust in dry bulk handling. Although conventional dust

Efficient Installations: Scrapetec’s Partnership in Peru
Efficient Installations and Impressive Results: Scrapetec’s Partnership in Peru ISC Ingeniería del Sur SAC, the partner company of Scrapetec in Peru, achieved an impressive feat. Within 24 hours, they installed 108 meters of AirScrape and 2 DustScrape systems. The next day, they continued their pace and added an additional 56 meters of AirScrape and 3 DustScrape systems in just 16 hours. The results were remarkable, with effective dust control and spillage prevention at the material transfer points. These fast and efficient installations delighted the customer and showcased the excellence of that partnership in the industry. The results were nothing short of extraordinary. The AirScrape and DustScrape systems immediately proved their worth, effectively containing dust and eliminating spillage at the customer’s material transfer points. The improved working environment brought about increased productivity and enhanced safety for the employees. In conclusion, the story of Scrapetec’s partnership in Peru showcases the power of teamwork, expertise,

The ScrapeTec energy-saving formula
At many trade shows, the ScrapeTec team learns a lot about the immense energy costs associated with dust extraction on conveyor systems. These fixed costs are often cited as an argument against investing in innovations for dust protection. The ScrapeTec energy-saving formula: Energy costs for dust removal minus DustScrape The calculation is simple: By investing in a ScrapeTec dust protection solution around the DustScrape at the transfer points of a conveyor system, the entire energy costs of dust extraction can be saved - so they are reduced to zero. This is because the use of the filter module DustScrape and the innovative sealing solutions AirScrape and TailScrape allow the dust extraction to be turned off. The seals work contactlessly with special profiles and thus create the Venturi effect: the air is sucked inwards. Dust does not escape, and the bulk material also remains on the conveyor belt. The DustScrape, with its special and robust filter cloth, captures the dust that arises from the fall energy before transfer/feeding in the direction of the conveyor. The interplay of these components has now proven itself worldwide wherever dust protection solutions have been sought. The argument
