Since Wamgroup chairman and C.E.O., Vainer Marchesini, set up his first workshop back in 1969 as a one-man-operation to manufacture screw conveyors, the name WAM® has come to stand for innovation in bulk material handling technology and equipment supply. Rotary Valves RVS Blow-Through Rotary Valves are the ideal solution for feeding powdery or granular materials into a pneumatic conveying system. These rotary valves consist of a tubular cast iron or stainless steel casing, a horizontally mounted rotor with a certain number of oblique V-shaped cross section compartments, a drive unit and a casing cover at each end. Two compartments at a time of the continuously turning rotor are filled up with material entering through the inlet at the top of the Rotary Valve. After less than half a turn material falls through the bottom outlet into an air stream passing through a pneumatic conveying pipeline connected with the bottom part of the Rotary Valve. Loading systems can meet these requirements almost completely, if they are designed correctly. The key technology, which manufacturers call loading bellows of telescopic loading spouts or chutes, is used at an interface that is particularly sensitive for a successful loading process. Only little time is available for loading into silo vehicles, open trucks, transport wagons or big bags, because downtimes cost money. The WAMGROUP Technology Centre is a private facility for research and development in bulk solids handling and processing, as well as various environmental technologies with a focus on dust filtration, solids-liquid separation in animal husbandry and various industries, on water treatment and hydro-energy. The facility includes a research laboratory, a training centre and a permanent exhibition.
