Hosokawa Micron B.V. is now ISO 14001 certified

The company’s certification covers not just some, but all environmental themes of ISO 14001: air, soil, energy, waste, water, noise and hazardous substances.
Hosokawa Micron B.V. is now certified in accordance with NEN-EN-ISO 14001:2015, including the current version of the underlying SCCM scheme. This certification requires the implementation of an Environmental Management System consisting of requirements to ensure that all processes related to the environment are routinely identified, assessed and managed.

Hosokawa Micron B.V. designs and manufactures state-of-the-art processing equipment and systems for powders and bulk solids. The company is located in Doetinchem, the Netherlands, with extensive facilities for R&D, testing, manufacturing, toll processing and service.

Unique to the certification of Hosokawa Micron B.V. is that it covers not just some, but all environmental themes of ISO 14001: air, soil, energy, waste, water, noise and hazardous substances. Each of these themes is based on legislation and regulations, which are also translated into the company’s environmental permit, since Hosokawa complies with the European IPPC Directive regarding pollution prevention.

“We are actively focusing on sustainability and circularity in multiple ways: both within our own operational processes, as well as in the entire supply chain from supplier to our existing and future customers. In this way we contribute to reducing energy consumption and our ecological footprint, improving productivity, recycling raw materials and reusing waste streams.” says Bert Lasker, QSHE Manager at Hosokawa Micron B.V.

“Objectives of our commitment include reducing our energy consumption by installing solutions such as LED lighting and a central pressurized air system and reducing our carbon footprint, by modernizing the machine park, improving our internal logistics and redesigning our supply chain network.”

“During our ongoing R&D work, the environmental impact is a key consideration, to develop better and smarter solids processing solutions that help our customers achieve their own sustainable business goals.”
