Safe recycling of film edge trims at a rate of 1200 meters/minute
realized in China successfully for the first time.
HERBOLD MECKESHEIM recently supplied a system for recycling film edge trims, which operates smoothly at a rate of 1200 meters/minute. The edge trims are drawn in-line, size-reduced, stored in a silo and recycled. HERBOLD simultaneously uses a blower for the discharge of the size-reduced film as well as for the suction of the edge trims. The system operates completely under pressure. Contrary to the injector evacuation with a screen basket - this is a clean and dustfree operation. For this application HERBOLD granulators with their double cross cutting geometry is used, this has a positive effect on the flow ability, bulk density, and temperature of the granulated material. The material is stored in a HERBOLD, special silo, with a bottom discharge device eliminating any risk of bridging. The material can be processed by a HERBOLD plastcompactor or a HERBOLD extrusion plant. HERBOLD can supply a turn-key system.
