As a non-profit professional society we represent these fields in science, industry, politics and the general public. DECHEMA promotes scientific and technical exchange among experts from different disciplines, organisations and generations. New sales staff member responsible for UWT customers in southern Germany and Switzerland The expert for "Ingeniously simple level control in bulk solids" welcomes Fatima-Zahira Aslan to the team. The 1983-born Fatima Aslan is a new member of the UWT sales team since March this year. She will be in the sales force for the customers in the ZIP code areas 5, 8, 9 in Germany and will also be in charge for the customers in Switzerland. The trained executive in wholesale and international trade was responsible for the distribution of electromechanical components in her previous position. Now she is looking forward to this new challenge at UWT and the distribution of the UWT product range. "I"m looking forward to the sales force in southern Germany and the challenge to be working in a male domain," said Fatima Aslan about her new job at UWT. In her leisure time she likes to be in nature, jogging and yoga.

Ingeniously simple level controls for bulk solids with UWT rotating paddle switches PNP Electronics The new PNP electronics for the Rotonivo® 3000 and Rotonivo® 4000 ranges uses 3-wire electronics technology with a non-contact output, open collector, PNP. The maximum output current is 0.4A. These electronics can be connected to any standard PLC with 24V DC power supply and PNP input card. The detection signal – the sensor switched to either ‘full/occupied’ or ‘empty/unoccupied’ – is not via micro switches as in the past, but using Hall sensors. Congress program of ACHEMA reflects diversity of process technology and biotechnology Contributions to the congress program of ACHEMA 2012 can be submitted as of now. The topics reflect the exhibition portfolio of ACHEMA. In view of the current challenges, three areas are of outstanding interest in 2012: The area of biotechnology covers the complete value chain of the bioeconomy from bio-based products via process technologies and equipment for the processing of renewable resources to food technology. A special focus in reaction technology is on sustainable process technology including topics such as energy efficiency, water treatment, recycling and urban mining.
