Operators of dust extraction systems are aware of the dangers that can arise in their production when fine dusts of organic and metallic components are stirred up. They have a duty and are responsible for implementing the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health.

Under the motto Safety First for Filter Systems, the practical seminar on fire and explosion protection deals with these and other safety-relevant topics. In proven form - alternating theory and practice - it offers a comprehensive opportunity to exchange experiences and transfer knowledge at first hand. Practice: Flammability of dusts - Solid inerting; (passivation) with functional safety according to EN13849 and example from additive manufacturing
- Avoiding effective ignition sources with ignition hazard analysis
Practice: Measuring equipotential bonding and breakdown voltage - Fire protection concept with measures for fire detection, reporting and fire fighting
Practice: Flammability of filter elements - Explosion protection concepts also with flameless and smoke-free pressure relief

- Explosion protection document workshop, hands-on practice
- Tests on filter systems with explosion hazards according to BetrSichV
- Group work on drawing up an explosion protection document using a selected example
