”From pigment to dispersion to coating - comprehensive characterization of TiO2” RELOADED

Webinar

This webinar about comprehensive characterization of TiO2 continues the LUM LIVE webinar series and successfully helps our customers develop, formulate and bring new and improved products to market.

Need for analytical characterization

Titanium dioxide is an important white pigment, an important photocatalyst and is characterized by its high chemical resistance. It is used in a wide variety of products, e.g. in batteries, ceramics, food, inks, paper, plastics, sunscreen formulations, and wall paints. Its use is not always undisputed, especially with regard to TiO2 nanoparticles. However, there is a need for comprehensive and analytical characterization of the properties of pure TiO2, of coated particles and of finished products with TiO2 content.

Particle counting

The LUM measuring devices can help you with many questions. Numerous references prove the successful use over more than 15 years. The examination of pulverized TiO2 is carried out with the LUMiReader X-Ray. The LUMiSpoc optical single particle counter is a new addition to the portfolio of analytical measuring devices from LUM, an application example for particle counting of TiO2 is shown in the webinar.

Size distribution, density, stability

The LUMiSizer and LUMiReader measuring devices are used for the in-situ characterization of particle properties such as size distribution, density and for the direct physical formulation stability of titanium dioxide suspensions. This will be discussed on the basis of case studies.
Coated titanium dioxide nanoparticles play a role as photocalyst for NOx degradation from air. LUMiFrac users determined the adhesive strength of coatings with TiO2 particles on various substrates, such as cement.

Find out how you can use LUM’s analytical measuring devices following our slogan The Next STEP in Dispersion Analysis and Materials Testing.
