Anuga FoodTec - World of innovations

As the leading global trade fair, Anuga FoodTec is the most important source of impetus for the international food and beverage industry. As the world’s only supplier fair, it covers all aspects of food production . Here, the industry presents its latest innovations and technological visions - from process technology to filling and packaging technology to food safety, from packaging materials to digitalization and intralogistics. And beyond that, there’s plenty more to discover. You can look forward to it.

We have learned from many conversations: After the pandemic-related dry spell, it’s time for trade fairs again. It’s time for personal exchange, for intensive networking, for an even more innovative Anuga FoodTec 2022 , which will not only bring the industry forward again, but also your business. In this context, the mixture of a compact presence trade fair and the digital extension Anuga FoodTec @home creates the best conditions for the re-launch of our industry.

In 2022, we will once again be taking intensive care of your safety. Benefit from the comprehensive package of measures. For a safe and successful trade fair experience - in the halls and throughout the Cologne area.

From April 26 - 29, 2022 , we look forward to welcoming you in Cologne or online - as usual with the latest solutions, exciting technologies and sustainable impulses for your success.

The machine supplied by Lindor mixes, coats, dries and roasts, and all on a surface of only 4 by 4 metres. The final process is simple and efficient. When Lindor contacted a German trader and processor of exotic fruit, no one could have imagined that this would result in a unique mixer that combines all four processes in one mixer. The machine supplied by Lindor mixes, coats, dries and roasts, and all on a surface of only 4 by 4 metres. The customer is a progressive company, with a varied range of organic Fair Trade exotic fruit. “The company needed a more efficient way to produce the sweetened fruit flakes,” explains Michael Kaiser, Lindor’s Sales Manager Germany. “The caramelised flakes proved to be a popular product, but the caramelisation process was very labour-intensive and time-consuming. From mixer to versatile processing machine ”During the decades that we have been producing mixers, we have noticed that our mixers are a great platform for doing more than simply mixing. Before long, a customer asked us whether it would be possible to spray liquid onto the product during the mixing process.

Turbex extractor for optimized valorization of functional nutrients
International technology group ANDRITZ has developed Turbex, a highly efficient extraction system to produce functional nutrients from botanicals and natural products. ANDRITZ Turbex helps to produce high quality extracts from botanicals and natural products and turn waste such as orange peel or brewer’s spent grain (BSG) into revenue-generating nutrients. This patented extraction technology works by generating high turbulence, shear, and cavitation, hundreds of times more than conventional extractors. It uses a series of rotors and stators to cause thousands of cavitation events per second, resulting in higher yields in shorter processing times. Assisted by a counter-current process, ANDRITZ Turbex delivers yields up to 50% higher than conventional systems. The low extraction temperature combined with the short processing time improves the product quality as oxidization of valuable polyphenols and antioxidants is avoided. Requiring up to 30% less energy than conventional extraction methods, ANDRITZ Turbex has a faster return on investment and less environmental impact. The fact that it does not necessarily require ethanol
