Miscanthus, wood chips, dust and powder Geroldinger sees the pelletization of biomass fuels as a waste of energy, therefore first flow experiments were carried out with the the biomass "miscanthus". The technological challenge of this product is the low bulk density of only 140kg/m³. Based on the laboratory results the silo and heating system of our plant was produced. The annual heat requirement of 1500 hours at full load by 150kW involves the heating of all operational buildings (warehouse and office areas) and the peak loads caused by the paint shop. The heating system consists of a standard industrial combustion boiler, a self-made 25,000 liters of hot water storage for providing the energy for the peak heat load, a housed intake pit (equipped with a dedusting unit) and four screw-conveyors (500mm diameter) to ensure a rapid take over of materials from suppliers. About us Geroldinger bring complexe powder and bulk secure and precisly from and to your process. Since 40 years we have experience in handling complex powders und bulk materials. We are spezialised in storing, conveying, dosing and discharging of complex bulk materials. The 12.000 m² company site houses planning and design departments for mechatronically organised engineering, a laboratory for bulk-solids analysis and a modern, generous technical department for performing practice-oriented experiments. Almost the whole range is produced by us ex works in four large production halls with an assembly tower for silos up to 28m. In our process technology department we have more than 1.500 different bulk-solid-examples and therefore a wide range of experience and Know-How. Our export-rate is approx. 75%.
