Faster visual check Brabender Technologie continues to adapt their wide portfolio of bulk dosing solutions to the wishes of the market. In addition to visual control via the control panel, visual control at the dosing unit itself will soon be possible even faster. Brabender Technology brings a transparent vertical spout on the market for this purpose. The new transparent vertical spout of PETG is a non-flexible plastic that remains dimensionally stable up to 90°C. The material is food grade, FDA compliant and therefore ideally suited for the food industry. Because the vertical spout is transparent, you can visually check at a glance whether there is a dosing flow. The new transparent vertical outlet will be available in phases over the coming months, starting with the famous FlexWall FW40 and FW80. This will be followed by the other types of dosing units

Discharging and unloading systems, feeder controls and accessories complete the dosing program. Renewed hygienic design Accurate continuous dosing of 50 grams per hour is a great challenge. Dosing the smallest amounts of additives is one of the applications in the food industry. For this purpose Brabender Technologie has renewed the DDSR20 twinscrew feeder in hygienic design. Precision was the top priority in the development process. The innovations at a glance: 1) Two separate servo drives; one for the agitator and one for the screws separately adjustable. Precise dosing of dry fruit The renewed Brabender Technologie FDSR Feeder reliably doses dried fruit such as raisins. This enables accurate dosing of bulk solids, which is soft and cohesive and has a tendency to compact and bridge. Easy cleaning After disassembly, parts can be cleaned with water. Load cell, weighing frame and -feet are made of stainless steel 1.4301 and are designed for better accessibility for cleaning underneath the feeder. The feeder is also easy to clean internally due to the fully removable frontplate of the trough and the ViwateQ surface treatment. Cable junction boxes and glands are hygienically designed, motors are aseptically equipped with H1 lubrication and parts are electrolytically coded. The design conforms to CE and fully complies with all relevant standards, directives and recommendations for the food industry (DIN EN 1672-2, EHEDG, FDA, etc.).

Industrie 4.0 for gravimetric dosing In addition to ProfiBus, ProfiNet, EtherNet/IP and EtherNet ModBus TCP Brabender Technologie now also offers OPC UA as PLC interface for gravimetric dosing. The EtherNet technology-based OPC UA protocol is platform- and vendor-independent and is currently seen as the ideal communication protocol for the implementation of Industry 4.0 . OPC UA enables integrated communication from individual dosing controls to the ERP system or to the cloud. For the Congrav® dosing controllers Brabender Technologie has developed a new OPC UA board. The Congrav® dosing controller must be ordered in advance as an OPC UA version. The OPC UA board cannot be retrofitted in existing Congrav® dosing controllers.
