Peru first AirScrape test

The new conveyor belt skirting, the AirScrape runs on high performance 12 months now. The mine confirmed and appreciate, the high cost savings and the clean dust free working places at the conveyor belts.
A new user, operator of the processing plant of a large mine, had to readjust the conventional conveyor skirting at belt transfer points every 2 weeks and replace them completely every 4 months, causing enormous downtimes and costs of the equivalent of € 240 000 each. The plant managers hoped to stretch these cycles. They discovered the AirScrape at the Perumin 2019 trade fair and decided to test the conveyor skirting at one of the most critical transfers at the highest point of the plant. From there, dust not only trickled into the entire plant, but was also carried by the wind in the direction of the lower situated nearby village. After the test installation of the AirScrape of 10 m per side of the conveyor, the effectiveness was immediately apparent. Only 2 weeks later, the main manager approved a large AirScrape order. In the meantime, elements for 150 m (both sides) have been purchased to convert a total of 5 belt transfers to AirScrape. Furthermore, there are considerations to create systematically all conveyors in the plant dust- and spillage free in this way.
According to the manufacturer’s experience, not only European plant operators are taking a forward-looking, innovative and responsible approach. Nowadays occupational safety, health protection and sustainable productive management is an important requirement on all continents.

AirScrape, the conveyor skirting comparison
No wear, no maintenance for months/years The mining industry in Peru relies entirely on the AirScrape. There is no more wear and tear, dust or spillage. Employees can concentrate on the essentials in a clean environment. See attached video before and after, Health and Safety. In addition, the downtimes could be reduced dramatically. In the past, the conveyor belt skirting had to be readjusted or replaced every 14 days. Thanks to AirScrape, this maintenance work is no longer necessary and the system can run through. It also works for all other bulk handling industries like Cement, Gypsum, Lime, Glass and more. For more infos, send us a mail.

Non-stop clean innovation Transfer points now spillage- and dust free
Non-stop clean innovation
Transfer points now spillage- and dust free With the innovative AirScrape seal skirting, spills and dust at transfer points in conveyor systems and belt damage are a thing of the past. In the minerals and mining industry, contamination of conveyor systems and dust generation during operation are a well-known problem. Conventional conveyor skirting at belt transfer points can help here, but even friction forces quickly wear them out; they lose their effect and also damage the belt of the conveyor during long-term use. This in turn increases the costs for maintenance or replacement. The AirScrape from ScrapeTec Trading Ltd. is quite different. It represents one of the rare innovations in this industrial sector, is virtually maintenance-free, increases the service life of conveyor belts and permanently saves cleaning efforts. Beyond the chute and conveyor belt, the AirScrape ensures more cleanliness. AirScrape. The operating principle is in the name If you see the AirScrape side seal in use, you can quickly

The AirScrape® conveyorskirting on a mission to assure quality in Europe
Sustainable solutions The brands of a well-known, international manufacturer stand for sophisticated surfaces made of stone material in kitchens, bathrooms or on terraces. Searching for a sustainable solution to minimize emission at transferpoints of conveyor systems, the high-quality requirements led the company to the AirScrape® skirting from Germany. The people responsible in the company had already heard and read about this special Conveyorskirting from Germany. Especially in a silicate conveying plant in southern Spain, a transfer was to be equipped with it on a test basis. Here the dust development and the strain on the employees were particularly high. Via the partner Masanes that provides the equipment with conveyor technology, contact was established with the manufacturer Scrapetec and the AirScrape® was installed at the selected transfer. The measurements of the dust development during the first test run showed a minimization of over 80 per cent. The customer was enthusiastic,
