Continuous Batch Feeding System (CBFS)
For more than 30 years, Simatek Bulk Systems A/S has developed and marketed Pendulum Bucket Elevators for gentle conveying of bulk products.
The system is acknowledged for its flexibility as the horizontal and vertical transport of fragile products can be carried out in one single conveyer.
The usage of the Pendulum Bucket Elevators has increased significantly with the Simatek drum feeder (CBFS) which is now patented. With this feeding system the elevator buckets are filled separately with a high and controlled filling degree. And this without overlap and mechanical contact between the buckets.
Because there is no overlap and therefore no need for any guide rails, it is a significantly more robust construction with less mechanical friction.
Contrary to the traditional, continuous feeding systems, this unique CBFS feeding system makes it possible to handle a range of new product types including particularly fragile powders and granulates.
CBFS is recommended for feeding of pelleted and extruded bulk products, and also for abrasive and wearing products as well as grain shaped product.
