A step ahead for food applications

The capability of the Flash Mill dryer: DMR

The capability of the Flash Mill dryer called the Drymeister to directly transform a slurry or a wet cake into an uniform powder has not to be proven anymore. It is therefore an excellent choice for drying food products. Compared to the more conventional drying technologies, like fluid bed drying or spray drying, the DMR can offer numerous advantages.
For example: the DMR can reduce the amount of energy (Kwh/t) required to produce dry powders.
The DMR can also combine drying and milling in one step!

Additional market demands to insure microbiological safety of food ingredients and increasing requests for multi-purpose drying installations motivated Hosokawa Micron to redesign and upgrade its Flash Mill dryer. This new DMR food version fully complies complies with the latest food market requirements or EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group) guidelines.

The Drymeister is now a real multi-purpose food drying process where cross contamination and
microbiological risks are reduced to a minimum. WIP & CIP procedures can be demonstrated and tested at Hosokawa Micron premises during FAT(Factory Acceptance Test) before the delivery of the equipment.
