Hosokawa Alpine AG Integrates Hosokawa Solids Solutions GmbH

Effective October 1, 2026, Hosokawa Alpine AG is integrating Hosokawa Solids Solutions GmbH. This move responds to changing market requirements and the company’s strategic development.

Integration to Strengthen Group Collaboration

Hosokawa Alpine AG continues its strategic realignment, integrating Hosokawa Solids Solutions GmbH from October 1, 2026. This move responds to changing market requirements and the company’s strategic development. The goal is to deepen cooperation within the group and provide customers with more comprehensive and holistic solutions in mechanical process engineering by bundling competencies and resources. This also strengthens the economic basis for sustainable corporate development.

Bundled Expertise for Holistic Systems

The Augsburg headquarters will gain importance, as sales and service competencies of Hosokawa Solids Solutions GmbH will also be centralized and further developed there. This enables the group to implement projects faster and offer customers turnkey plants with integrated solutions from a single source. The crushing, screening, and compacting technology of Hosokawa Alpine AG will be combined with the associated storage, conveying, weighing, and dosing technology of Hosokawa Solids Solutions GmbH under one roof.

Employee Transition and Brand Continuity

A large portion of the Schwabmünchen workforce will have the opportunity to continue their careers within the Hosokawa Group at the Augsburg location. Individual solutions will be developed for other colleagues, considering their personal and professional situations. The Spanish Hosokawa Solids S.L. is not affected by these changes, and the Hosokawa Solids brand will continue to exist.

CEO Michael Kuhnen on Structural Adaptation

Michael Kuhnen, CEO of Hosokawa Alpine, stated: “The past years have shown that as a group we can successfully collaborate and shape changes together. Evolving market demands necessitate a targeted further development of our structures. With this step, we conclude an initiated process and create clarity for the future. At the same time, we strengthen our position as a holistic solution provider and bundle our competencies even more closely, while responsibly and transparently managing the transition for our employees.”

Hosokawa Alpine presents solution for textile recycling
A new solution for the sustainable recycling of textile waste. Hosokawa Alpine is setting standards in textile shredding, making it possible to reuse textile scraps efficiently and sustainably. Textile recycling and the new EU directive In response to the new EU directive on the separate collection of used textiles, Hosokawa Alpine provides efficient processing that recovers valuable fibers for the circular economy. Efficient process chain for the circular economy Since January 1, 2025, an EU directive has mandated the separate collection of used textiles. To process these volumes economically, the Augsburg specialist for mechanical process engineering developed a specialized system. The process starts with shredding textile bales, followed by pneumatic transport for defibering. A downstream classifier separates the material into clean fibers and residue. Optimization through proven crushing technology * Performance increase of up to 50% due to special rotor design * Robust construction with a solid, durable cast housing * High throughput of up to 400 kg of textiles per hour * Integrated water cooling and pneumatic suction as options The Rotoplex…

Lab mill Picoline with new functions
The Picoline from Hosokawa Alpine has been setting standards in research and development for several years. It is now even more flexible, even more versatile, even safer The Picoline from Hosokawa Alpine has been setting standards in research and development for several years. The Augsburg-based machine and plant manufacturer has already sold more than 100 units of the modular system for processing very small quantities of powder. Now the Picoline has been updated - with numerous advantages for users. New: Separation of process platform and control system The Picoline is a solution for fine grinding, classifying or mixing powders in laboratories. Whether grinding processes from coarse to pre-grinding to ultra-fine grinding, the operation of a small batch mixer, a mechanofusion process, mechanochemistry or pure classifying tasks - this master of flexibility is truly versatile. The small system consists of a process platform, a platform controller, numerous function modules and accessories. The new feature is the separation of the control and work unit. By separating the control and work units, both parts can be positioned independently…
