GMP Drum opener for safe and ergonomic handling
Safe drum handling: GMP drum openers from BOLZ INTEC reduce the effort required to open clamping rings and increase occupational safety.
With its GMP-compliant drum opener, BOLZ INTEC offers a solution for the safe opening and closing of clamping rings on stainless steel drums. The system was developed for applications with high requirements in terms of hygiene, occupational safety, and ease of use, such as in pharmaceutical, chemical, or food production.
The construction follows hygienic design principles in accordance with EHEDG. The dead space-free design makes the drum opener easy to clean and also suitable for use in sensitive production areas. The device is autoclavable and can therefore also be used in clean room environments.
The drum opener supports safe and controlled handling when opening and closing the clamping rings. This reduces the risk of injury to operating personnel. At the same time, the force required to operate the clamping rings is low, which facilitates ergonomic operation.
The drum opener is designed for BOLZ INTEC stainless steel drums with diameters between 315 and 770 mm. The device is made of 1.4404 (AISI 316L) stainless steel, which is often used in hygienically sensitive areas due to its corrosion resistance.
An electropolished surface is available as an option. In addition, material documentation in accordance with EN 10204-3.1 can be provided. Laser marking for unique identification is also available on request.
