New mixer generation for complete emptying

New mixer generation for complete emptying

At a new development from amixon GmbH occurs a completely discharge of the mixed product from the mixer.

The efficiency of vertical mixing machines has in the past been proven time and time again. Vertical helical spring mixing tools usually rotate slowly. As a result, vertical helical spiral mixer mix gently and, as a rule, do not change the granulometry of the mixed product. The fact that the mixing devices can only be mounted and driven from the top is a major benefit everywhere.

As such, they met the highest possible hygienic requirements and require practically no maintenance. Nevertheless a drawback has arisen: a poorly flowing mixing product (particularly finely dispersed or moistened/greased) can result in mixing product residue clinging to the helix mixing device following discharge. But bearing in mind the Atex rules, spinning can only be tolerated given that the mixing products are not combustible/do not generate explosive dusts; i.e. a speed in excess of 1 m/s is permitted. This is precisely where an amixon GmbH patented solution comes into play. The amixon mixing spiral is inclined and designed, if so desired, as a sine wave.

Tests have revealed that this improves the mixing efficiency. And leads to a marked rise in the discharging rates. For instance, an amixon single-shaft mixer for 2 m³ of material to be mixed only leaves 240 grams behind after discharge. This is tantamount to a 99.983 % residual discharg
