ScrapeTec: New mission in Israel

High interest regarding the Scrapetec solutions, especially the PrimeTracker

ScrapeTec Trading GmbH from Kamp-Lintfort in Germany proudly accepted the invitation to Israel in July of this year. The new partner there, S.F.I. (Solutions for Industry) had invited. This was not preceded by an enquiry, as is usual, but by an order. S.F.I. had ordered PrimeTracker belt stabilization rollers for their customer ICL - a world-renowned company that is responsible for 35% of the world’s bromine production. ScrapeTec sales manager Thorsten Koth was invited to a tour in Israel after intensive consultations on the order, during which the ICL system of the ”Dead Sea Works” on the Dead Sea was visited, where the ScrapeTec products are already in use.

The decision in favor of PrimeTracker is based on the strategy to reduce dust and spillage in the future in order to secure investments in the conveyor systems in the long term. Through several videos on the Internet and reports in worldwide specialist magazines, attention was drawn to the effective and economical way in which ScrapeTec products work. Not least because of convincing references such as Codelco in Chile, which after successful test runs with the dust protection solutions from ScrapeTec now gradually want to equip several plants in South America with them. The tour in Israel also included visits to sites of other customers of the partner S.F.I., including a CEMEX factory. CEMEX, the German cement specialists are also deployed around the world – as well as ScrapeTec. It is amazing that CEMEX managers in Israel are now discovering the ScrapeTec dust protection system, which has a growing international clientele. In Germany, on the other hand, demand is rather reserved. Overall, Thorsten Koth from ScrapeTec sees the trip to Israel as very positive: “It makes you proud when a specific demand for our products suddenly arises in Israel without direct acquisition. We seem to be getting more and more international and are looking forward to the positive perspectives in Israel”.

Questions about the profitability of conveyor technology
ScrapeTec: It’s all a question of profitability. ScrapeTec begins its consultation with specific questions that awaken a new awareness of conveyor systems among customers. ScrapeTec Trading trades. Not only with innovative products related to transfers points of conveyor belts, but also solution-oriented. Even when advising customers who do not see any specific problems with their systems and therefore do not see the need for solutions. Does this raise questions as you read? Yes, exactly. Because ScrapeTec confronts many of its customers with specific questions. In most cases, answers cannot be given spontaneously. ScrapeTec helps with its advice. For example with one of these questions: How high is the cost share of the conveyor systems in your company? 40%? Higher? Often there is no cost analysis in this direction. In the past, costs have usually simply been accepted and classified as unavoidable. A joint look at the costs of the past and their categorization helps. It also goes into the details: How much does cleaning the conveyor system cost, for example? What are the main failure criteria of your conveyor systems? And how high

Scrapetec with surprises in the backpack
On June 22/23, 2022, Solids will come to Dortmund and with it many new products and surprises. Everything around the conveyor belt transfers, which makes the work easier and safer. Scrapetec Still a young company, but known worldwide. We owe this to our innovation the AirScrape. A non-contact side seal for conveyor belt transfers points that is both non-wearing and requires no maintenance. Once properly installed, this runs for years and keeps the transfers dust and spill free. The large mines in South America caught on relatively quickly and are using Scrapetec’s products more and more. The demand at the last trade fair in Chile surprised us all. But cement, gypsum and power plants worldwide are also recognizing the advantages of wear- and maintenance-free sealing. Cost saving, made simple. With the upcoming Solids, Scrapetec will also take another big step into conveyor belt technology 4.0. Come by and have a look at the newest innovation from Scrapetec. We are waiting for you in hall 4, booth B12.

AirScrape success Exponor 2022 in Chile
The first trade show in Chile was a great success for the new contactless skirting for conveyor transfer points. The demand and interest in AirScrape was overwhelming. Nobody had really expected that. The AirScrape is more than well known in Chile and everyone is talking about it. One more reason to take a closer look at the AirScrape and all other innovative Scrapetec products. The AirScrape was explained in detail by Dank Consultores our partner in Chile, appointments on site were made, projects were discussed and even orders were placed. The first installation was at Codelco and the results seem to have spread. Non-contact sealing at conveyor transfers points has advantages that are obvious. Once installed, seal for years and all without maintenance. No contact, no more friction, no more wear, no more maintenance, no more dust, no more spillage and no more downtime.

AirScrape in a clinker Vessel discharger
Dust-, spillage- and maintenance-free conveyor belt skirting. Contact-free and thus frictionless by using a Venturi effect to prevent spillage. Companies whose daily operations include extraction, processing, crushing and screening of materials are familiar with the problems at the transfer points in conveying systems, such as nuisance dust generation, disruptive material spillage, costly belt wear, maintenance work that impedes operation and constant cleaning required. ScrapeTec from Kamp-Lintfort/ Germany with its specific products has been providing effective solutions to all these problems. ScrapeTec products as e.g. AirScrape, DustScrape and TailScrape are applied all over the world individually or in combination – serving as side skirtings or belt skirtings, for example and used by large and small companies. AirScrape: leak free without materials touching ScrapeTec Trading GmbH started with the AirScrape as its first product. The aim of company founder and developer Wilfried Dünnwald in developing this sealing system was to achieve maximum dust reduction at transfer points of bulk material handling

Sustainability in the cement industry thanks to AirScrape
Once the dust settles: Cement plants develop sustainable concepts with Scrapetec innovations for conveyor transfer points. Downtime, cleaning costs, maintenance, wear and tear of materials or health risks for employees - the cost factors relating to the transfer points of conveyor systems are not unknown, but usually go unnoticed. Whether in mining, in the production of gypsum or cement. As a result of the cooperation with ScrapeTec, cement plants in Germany have now increasingly discovered the special sustainable effect of the new conveyor skirting for chutes. Manufacturer ScrapeTec does a kind of persuasion with this innovation. In the first step, usually 1-2 transfer points on the customer’s system are equipped with the new non-contact sidesealing. Then comes the work on the fly. The AirScrape conveyor skirting is convincing at first glance, because of the clean working method without dust, spill and maintenance compared to conventionally equipped transfer points. And after 3 months at the latest, the investment has already paid for itself because of the eliminated cleaning and maintenance
