Trantec’s quick-release screw feeder sets itself apart from its competitors as almost the whole feeder can be dismantled, including the feeder’s body. Developed, tested and proven over the past ten years, Trantec’s unique design offers an unparalleled degree of dismantling without tools and is designed so that even an inexperienced operator could safely dismantle the feeder within minutes, including the PTFE-based shaft seals which can also be removed in a matter of seconds exposing the shafts for deep cleaning.
Robust in build, Trantec feeders are constructed from 316 stainless steel, therefore able to withstand corrosive materials and applications that fluctuate in temperatures, and are available with a standard, food-grade, or pharmaceutical polish Finnish, depending on the material being handled.
With Trantec screw feeders consisting of only one or two specially selected moving parts the stainless-steel auger screw and (optional) agitator, this keeps maintenance to a bare minimum. Once the feeder is dismantled, all removable parts can be dishwasher cleaned or autoclave processed for optimum cleaning. To further reduce downtime duplicate parts can be pre-cleaned, prepared than “hot-swapped” into the metering screw feeder.
