Natulab improves sieving throughput of pharmaceutical ingredients
Leading herbal medicine manufacturer uses the Russell Compact Airswept Sieve™ for efficient vacuum sieving As the 10th largest pharmaceutical company in Brazil, Natulab has been met with increased demand following the rapid growth of the pharmaceutical market. To meet this demand, the company wanted set up a new production line in their Brazil plant, requiring a fully sealed and enclosed screener that could fit into their vacuum conveying line. Natulab’s screening requirement meant they would need to eliminate oversize contamination, lumps and foreign particles from their end product. Previously, they used a vibrating sieve, but found it to be an inefficient solution due to poor performance and frequent mesh replacements. To meet Natulab’s needs, Russell Finex recommended the Russell Compact Airswept Sieve ™ as an alternative solution. Utilizing a vacuum conveying system, ingredients are passed through to the sieve where good product is passed further down the line while waste and oversize is separated into a discharge outlet. Improving the separation of PET plastics from wash water for PFR Nord PFR Nord improves the throughput of PET plastics with the Finex Separator™ which is designed for the accurate grading of materials, and improved contamination removal.
Improving the separation of PET plastics from wash water for PFR Nord
PFR Nord improves the throughput of PET plastics with the Finex Separator™ which is designed for the accurate grading of materials, and improved contamination removal. With a product line stemming from the local German returnable bottle system, PFR Nord recycles PET from beverage bottles. The company is one which prides itself on its efficient process, and its plant has been designed to ensure its processing lines are recycling plastics as effectively as possible. PFR Nord sought a more sustainable processing solution to replace a competitor’s sieving machine. It was needed to pre-separate solids from the wash water as part of its bottle washing line within its final separation process, done by washing shredded plastic on the sieve mesh. The Finex Separator™ was chosen as the ideal unit, due to its abilities to process high throughput rate of product, and accurately grade plastics on up to 5 mesh frames. Once it passed a successful trial and was installed on site, this vibratory separator provided higher throughput rates than the previous machine, easily reaching the required throughput of 35m³/h through a 200μm mesh

Industrial Sieving of Cocoa Powders with Russell Finex Brazilian supplier of cocoa increases sieving capacity with installation of Russell Compact Sieve® within its brand-new processing line
Industrial Sieving of Cocoa Powders with Russell Finex
Brazilian supplier of cocoa increases sieving capacity with installation of Russell Compact Sieve® within its brand-new processing line Founded in 2005, Indústria Brasileira de Cacau (IBC) supplies cocoa to companies who use it as raw material in the food industries and cosmetics. As IBC sought to implement a brand-new processing line, the company needed to be assured of quality before choosing the best sieving solution for this application. As cocoa powder is a difficult to screen powder using standard units, Russell Finex recommended the Russell Compact Sieve®: a highly versatile, easy-clean sieve ideal for the safety-screening of food powders, like cocoa powder. With the Russell Compact Sieve® IBC achieved the next key benefits: 1) Increase production - achieve higher product throughput rates per unit area of mesh 2) Fits into smaller spaces - either into existing installations or areas of limited headroom 3) Eliminate oversize - improve product purity and safeguard quality
