CEN-TRAX belt tracker increases installation availability

No more mistracking problems

In April 2016 TBK spillage control bv has supplied two CEN-TRAX SO-2000 return trackers to an open pit mine in the north of Finland. The return trackers are installed on two mobile conveyor belt installations, each with a belt width of 2000 mm.

Through the mobile conveyor installations a fixed conveyor belt installation is fed by several belt conveyors.

Due to the uneven terrain, mistracking of both mobile conveyors caused unplanned stoppages of the installation.

Both CEN-TRAX return trackers are in operation for one year without a single problem. Two belt trackers have increased the availability of the installation by 30%!
