Three huge cooling screw heat exchangers with a diameter of 800 mm for a HVC drinking water treatment plant Poeth Solids Processing is currently busy with the construction of a turnkey project for HVC drinking water treatment plant Alkmaar in the Netherlands. Last month our professionals have been busy producing 3 huge cooling screw heat exchangers with a diameter of 800 mm. Our test facility in Tegelen, together with a mathematical model, forms the basis for the final design of the cooling screw heat exchangers. On-site installation is currently underway. The screw heat exchangers are widely used in circular projects. Many valuable waste streams are dried and come out of a dryer at a high temperature. After drying, the product often needs to be cooled back down so that it can be safely filled e.g. a silo, big-bag or bulk truck.

Dust emission when folding big-bags is avoided by using a big-bag compactor with an integrated compressed-air cleaned filter Big-bags are increasingly being used in the processing of raw materials. After big-bags are emptied, they are often folded. During folding, dust is generated. This dust emission can be avoided by using a big-bag compactor with an integrated compressed-air cleaned filter. The Poeth big bag compactor, is specially developed for dust-free compression and packaging of empty big-bags in clean rooms. The space inside the compactor is so large that the big-bag fits neatly inside it without folding. The amount of waste is reduced to a minimum. At the end, the empty big-bags are packed dust-proof in an endless film. The integrated filter is suitable for very different powders: from very fine to very sticky. A secondary HEPA filter can be placed behind the filter. Whether mobile or not, the unit is equipped with its own control/control box. Conventional bag compactors used to compact empty big bags often get stuck because big bags are much stiffer than empty bags.
