BEUMER Group equips BEUMER fillpac R with ultrasonic sealing unit

The filled bags have an even better appearance, giving users a significant image advantage over competitors.

The BEUMER Group, a solutions provider for complete packaging systems, is now offering the option to equip the BEUMER fillpac R bagging system with an ultrasonic sealing unit. The filled bags have an even better appearance, giving users a significant image advantage over competitors.

The BEUMER fillpac R fills bags with bulk construction materials and industrial powders efficiently, gently and with the required throughput. It enables bags of different formats and types, such as upright and flat valve bags, to be filled with different materials ranging in structure from very fine to very coarse. To optimize their appearance, the BEUMER Group can equip the fillpac R with an ultrasonic sealing unit on request.

This is how it works: During filling, a rubber sleeve is inflated on a special connector, preventing the escape of material. When the bag is full, it is automatically pulled from the connector and welded with ultrasound. Afterwards it is very clean and compact. The ultrasonic weld also ensures that material is not spilled or contaminated during transport by truck. Users can state the filling quantity exactly and do not have to add material later.

An economically convincing alternative Cement manufacturer Aalborg Portland A/S relies on the Pipe Conveyor of BEUMER Group
An economically convincing alternative
Cement manufacturer Aalborg Portland A/S relies on the Pipe Conveyor of BEUMER Group The manufacture of cement is particularly energy intensive. For an economical and sustainable operation, Aalborg Portland A/s therefore relies on alternative fuels and raw materials, in its Denmark lead plant, to ignite the calciner and the main burner. BEUMER Group supports the manufacturer with its AFR systems segment (alternative fuels and raw materials) and develops individual single-source solutions in order to efficiently convey, store and feed the differently composed materials. The customer receives everything from one source, thus having a unique contact. Due to the different grain sizes and the various compositions of these alternative fuels, it was necessary to develop an individual system solution for each line. To enable the transport of the pre-processed fuels from the storehouse to the calciner and to the main burner, BEUMER Group supplied and installed respectively one Pipe Conveyor as the heart of these systems as well as the accompanying equipments.

Without polluting the environment BEUMER Group Pipe Conveyor ensures dust-free transportation of ore concentrates
Without polluting the environment
BEUMER Group Pipe Conveyor ensures dust-free transportation of ore concentrates Transportadora Callao S.A., the logistics operator of a special cargo terminal in the port of Callao/Peru, relies on a BEUMER Group Pipe Conveyor for the transportation of zinc, copper and lead concentrates of different mining companies from the warehouse to the terminal. With its ability to navigate curves in three dimensions, the conveyor can be optimally adapted to its routing course of 3000 metres. Even more important: the conveying system prevents the concentrates from coming in contact with the environment and ensures dust-free transport to the ship’s holds. BEUMER Group was responsible for engineering and supply, including the steel structure, supervision of the installation and putting the Pipe Conveyor into operation. Due to its enclosed transport, the Pipe Conveyor not only protects the environment against harmful impacts during the transport of the lead concentrate, it also allows conveying over long distances and navigation through tight curve radii.

Looking at the world through smart glasses BEUMER Group develops smart maintenance system for customer support
Looking at the world through smart glasses
BEUMER Group develops smart maintenance system for customer support Augmented reality offers interesting possibilities and potentials, e.g. for maintenance work on intralogistic systems: a head-mounted minicomputer could display all necessary information to the service employee. This would simplify their work, hands-free. The BEUMER Group development department places a high priority on this topic. With an app for smart maintenance on mobile end devices, our customer support technicians can quickly access all important data. Through AutoID characteristics on the logistic element, e.g. a conveyor, and the smart maintenance app, information on this element can be displayed, such as maintenance instructions or pin assignments. The service employee focuses on the object with his mobile device. The required data is displayed on the live image of the camera of the device. ”The technician looks at the defective part and can immediately call up every related manuals or goods in stock, ” explains Dr. Andreas Werner. Every process step

Perfectly integrated into the environment Portlandzementwerk Wotan H. Schneider relies on Pipe Conveyor by BEUMER Group
Perfectly integrated into the environment
Portlandzementwerk Wotan H. Schneider relies on Pipe Conveyor by BEUMER Group Portlandzementwerk Wotan H. Schneider from Üxheim-Ahütte in the Volcanic Eifel, Germany, has acquired a Pipe Conveyor manufactured by BEUMER Group to transport clinker to its cement mill. The 200-metre-long conveying system is customised to fit perfectly into the local environment. Since the system is completely enclosed, no material can fall on the road or passing vehicles. Additionally, absolutely no dust is released into the air, which greatly benefits the environment, which greatly benefits the environment. Furthermore, the conveyor is economical in operation, energy-efficient and maintenance-friendly. ”Together with the management team in Üxheim-Ahütte, we developed a solution that is tailored exactly to match the customer’s requirements”, says Josef Amon, project manager at BEUMER Group Austria GmbH who was responsible for the project. It became apparent that a Pipe Conveyor was the best solution offering environmental protection and low maintenance.

SCHWENK Zement KG relies on BEUMER Group Pipe Conveyors Operational gains with minimal disruption and without any material loss
SCHWENK Zement KG relies on BEUMER Group Pipe Conveyors
Operational gains with minimal disruption and without any material loss SCHWENK Zement KG is replacing its old drag chain conveyor line with a modern Pipe Conveyor from BEUMER Group. Requiring a solution that would transport alternative fuels such as crushed plastic material, textiles and paper from the warehouse to the feeding system of the oven in their cement plant in Bernburg, Germany, this fully closed conveying system makes transporting bulk material more environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Maintenance costs are also considerably lower and the system can be optimally adapted to the ambient conditions. ”Its closed design protects the environment from transported goods falling down. Another advantage is the lack of dust development on the running line”, explains Michal Mikulec, managing director at BEUMER Group Czech Republic a.s. These conveyors offer many other advantages. They are able to navigate long distances and tight curve radii. Due to their ability to negotiate curves, considerably less transfer towers are

A very special compound Calucem relies on complete packaging line by BEUMER
A very special compound
Calucem relies on complete packaging line by BEUMER Calucem d.o.o., a member of Calucem Group and based in Pula, Croatia, is a manufacturer of calcium aluminate cements that are predominantly used in the refractory industry. The company is now replacing its previous packaging line with BEUMER filling, palletizing and packaging systems. This BEUMER solution will help simplify the process of moving material into the packaged units and is a more energy-efficient option. BEUMER provided an entire line from one single source. Instead of a turbine filling machine, which is typically used in the cement industry, a pneumatic filling system was used to allow for a quick material change without any loss. ”We installed the entire line ”, says David Žargi, BEUMER representative for the Western Balkans and supervisor for the Pula cement plant. The specialists integrated the machines and systems using intelligent automation and linked them efficiently. Calucem needed compact systems that work efficiently, require little maintenance
