MADE DIFFERENT

“Made different” is more than just a buzzword at the BEUMER Group. It’s a corporate philosophy that lets us do what makes sense and not what’s trendy right now. At the center of our philosophy, unlike many short-term profit oriented listed corporations, is the long-term perspective.

This approach forms the basis for our leadership in quality, sustainability and innovation. It is the driving force behind a corporate culture defined by motivation, trust and loyalty to and among employees. All of this is only possible because we have preserved ourselves over three generations: our independence.

As a family business, we can focus on the long-term business success and develop strategies that pay off in the long term. Be it research and development, personnel policy, corporate strategy, customer service or product quality – the advantages that result from our long-term thinking are visible everywhere in the BEUMER Group.

BEUMER provides Lafarge Zementwerke GmbH with conveying technology
Lafarge Zementwerke GmbH in Mannersdorf, Austria, has commissioned BEUMER Group to install a conveying system for alternative fuels and raw materials. The customer benefits from an optimum price-performance ratio and state-of-the art technology. For an economical and sustainable operation, the Austrian plant Mannersdorfof Lafarge Zementwerke GmbH relies on plastic waste as an alternative fuel and raw material. When the old conveying system was irreparably damaged after a fire in June 2020, the owner commissioned BEUMER Group to supply a new and more powerful system. The order includes two Pipe Conveyors, which convey the material. The first conveyor has a diameter of 200 millimetres and a length of 87 metres. Its conveying capacity amounts to ten tons per hour. The second Pipe Conveyor is 192 metres long, has a diameter of 250 millimetres and a conveying capacity of 22 tons per hour. The lifting heights amount to approx. 39 metres and the maximum angle of inclination is 15 degrees. There are also three buffer bins and a weigh feeder. In addition to the delivery and installation, the BEUMER team also handles engineering and commissioning. "As a team, we were able to convince the persons responsible of our

Beumer Group: Live presentations at online event
Beumer Group Live: online presentation of information tailored to business fields ’Airport’, ’Logistics’, ’Cement’ and ’Mining/Port/Power Plant’. BEUMER Group has come up with something special: In order to keep its customers up to date on product developments, the system provider is organising an online event with live presentations and discussions over the course of four days (March 15 to 26). There is no equivalent to direct and personal contact with visitors at a trade fair. However, in order to present its solution expertise and innovations to an interested trade audience even during the time of a global pandemic, Beumer Group is organising an online event under the title ’Beumer Group Live’. On each of the four days, one of the business fields ’Airport’, ’Logistics’, ’Cement’ and ’Mining/Port/Power Plant’ will present information tailored to the respective target group. The system provider presents live presentations and lectures from the testing hall. Participants can exchange ideas and discuss with BEUMER experts. The individual blocks will each last about two hours and will

BEUMER Group: An energy-efficient alternative Fully automated tyre transport system at HeidelbergCement ensures continuous feed of waste tyres as secondary
BEUMER Group: An energy-efficient alternative
Fully automated tyre transport system at HeidelbergCement ensures continuous feed of waste tyres as secondary The manufacture of cement is particularly energy-intensive. To reduce the use of valuable primary fuels like coal, HeidelbergCement is opting for alternative fuels, such as waste tyres. The calorific value of rubber is comparable to that of hard coal. And because the iron from the armouring can be incorporated mineralogically into the cement, it reduces the need to add ferrous corrective substances. Beumer group supplied the fully-automated system that sorts, separates and regulates the tyres of different sizes and weights and feeds them to the rotary kiln inlet. The system supplier also took over the installation and provided the steel structure. Thanks to the new system, the kiln of the cement plant is now fed with a constant stream of material. The tyres that are used are production waste coming from the manufacturers as well as waste tyres from trucks and cars. This also means that they vary greatly: their diameters vary between min. 300 and max. 1,600 millimetres,

Blazing the trail in reliability BEUMER Group delivers belt apron conveyors for reliable transportation of cement clinker
Blazing the trail in reliability
BEUMER Group delivers belt apron conveyors for reliable transportation of cement clinker From a kiln cooling system to silos: the safe and economical transportation of hot materials like clinker is crucial in cement plants. The material can have extremely high temperatures of 500 to 800 degrees Celsius. Reliable plant operation requires a robust conveying system. The Beumer group supports cement manufacturers with system solutions tailored for this industry, with apron conveyors for example. A special variant offered is the belt apron conveyor (GSZF): using a belt instead of a chain as the traction element allows higher speeds and a slimmer design while still delivering the same level of performance. The GSZF is therefore particularly suitable for modernisations, as can be seen with the Turkish cement manufacturer Göltas Cemento. In the wake of a building boom in Turkey and the growing demand for cement, the cement manufacturer opted for modernising its kiln and increasing the performance. An increase from 250 to 400 tons per hour of the conveying technology

Economic transportation of cement clinker BEUMER Group offers robust belt apron conveyors
Economic transportation of cement clinker
BEUMER Group offers robust belt apron conveyors Robust apron conveyors (SZFs) are used in cement plants to transport clinker safely and economically from the kiln cooling system to the silos. Beumer group is the only manufacturer who offers a special variant, the belt apron conveyor (GSZF): Using a belt instead of a chain as traction element allows higher speeds and a slimmer design while still delivering the same level of performance. The GSZF is therefore particularly suitable for modernisations. In general, the clinker comes out of the cooler at 80 degrees plus ambient temperature. But during the process, a so-called kiln flash can occur caused by a raw meal flash from the preheater tower or by caked clinker coming off the kiln: Within a few seconds several tons of raw meal or clinker shoot through the cooler. The material to be conveyed cannot cool down sufficiently and reaches the conveyor at temperatures of 500 to 800 degrees Celsius. With its apron conveyors, Beumer group provides robust and reliable solutions.
