Case Study after 3 Years Dolomite Quarry
Rump & Salzmann, a company operating a Dolomite quarry in Uehrde, Germany, asked ScrapeTec Trading for suggestions to solve a dust and spillage issue at the transfer chute between crasher and conveyor belt. Aside from the loss of material the area had to be maintained and constantly cleaned. Although testing a great variation of different sealings, none of the tested products was able to solve the problem.
Finally Mr Schridde, Technical Director at Rump & Salzmann, got in touch with ScrapeTec Trading and invited Wilfried Dünnwald to have a first hand impression of the situation on site. After checking on the technical details and an agreement on the necessary funding, the brand new AirScrape sealing system was installed.
As part of ScrapeTec’s customer relationship management, a feedback conversation was established and executed. Today, 3 years after the installation, the system still runs without any visible wear of need for maintenance. Mr Schridde: “A perfect solution for us. After three years of using AirScrape, we are totally satisfied with the results. Our dust and spillage problem is solved. We see no need for cleaning and have no material losses anymore.”
A quick inspection done by ScrapeTec on site came back with the same findings and the confirmation, that – if not more major changes in the application – also the next 3 years will not see any need for service or maintenance.
